I closed and walked away for a while. Came back reopened google in firefox... NEW link at bottom of dutch Google screen that was not there earlier!!! New link says: Google in English. Don't know how or why I ended up on Netherlands version (I opened the browser and there it was!) but am happy to be back in the states again.

This morning I submitted a ticket for something. Even though I had set it to only a medium priority, the problem was resolved in less than 10 minutes by Tina Garrison. Thank you for excellent prompt assistance, even when it is not a high priority.

Opened 2 browser windows on the same PC this morning. IE - standard english google appears and works Firefox - Google start page is NETHERLANDS and all searches return in DUTCH. I am located in Florida, USA. Have tried resetting my home page to google.com on Firefox, and address bar says google.com BUT I get the Netherlands version each time. Even reinstalled version 2. Nope. I found a link on another forum to set cookies on (I have) and to use google.com/webhp for your URL to force google.com to load. But that still loads the Dutch version of the google home page. Used the option under manage search engines to remove google. Restarted the browser and added it back in. Nope. Still the Dutch version. Wacky!! I have never had such a problem. Any suggestions?

9 is my best so far. The owner of the company just came by and found me shooting paper and asked if I thought this was a good use of my time. Told him "The company has been closed for more than 40 minutes. I am de-stressing before driving home on Friday night traffic." He chuckled and asked me to send the link to his home address so he could try it too.

I finished it after posting the game here. Now all my coworkers are working through it and cursing me for getting them started.

I'm on level 28 (out of 30) and find this to be quite a fun addictive time waster. Level 16 was nasty and I think the other one I got hung up on was level 20 or 21... but made it through. The game appears on many sites here's one of them: 3d Logic Cube Puzzle "Link every pair of like-colored markers to complete a cube. You cannot link cells diagonally. If you break an existing link reselect the broken link color by clicking on one of the two markers, then plug the gaps. Black cells are blocked."

THANK YOU!!! You were right....HUGE NEWS! I am amazed at the news! I hoped for more frequent backups but a weeks worth, archiving 2 per day, AWESOME! One of the accounts I service is one the server list already. And I look forward to the other one having the same backups. Having an online site builder will open new doors for TCH, inviting a whole new set of customers that otherwise would not host here. Congratulations on the future expansion! Will the builder be a standard HTML editor or something like Trellix Online (offered by some ISP's) with WYSIWYG interface? Bill, a personal thank you for such commitment to excellence. We are greatful for your vision. My experience with TCH has been exceptional compared to the other hosts have have dealt with over several years. TCH now offers the full meal, including the dessert, whipped cream and the cherry on top!

More backups or redundancy would come in handy when servers need emergency rebuild, etc. Having a second line of website hosting that offers phone support at an additional cost would have gotten two more accounts to TCH from clients of mine. The folks were impressed with the forum, cpanel, with overall features and benefits but would not move because there was no phone support and would gladly have paid extra for the phone assistance. I do not need the phone support and find the email/ticket system works well but understand some people would never host where they can not call. I am still a big fan of TCH and recommend based on so many things...involved management, cost, features, support excellence, forum. The uptime has been terrific as has the support!

Is it related to TCH being Level 1 Geek Certified? Hope this is a great year for TCH and the family!

I use ANIMATION SHOP (comes with Paint Shop Pro) or separately from COREL. Lightweight and easy to use. Though I use flash for some things, I often choose to use my Animation Shop instead. Three choices for coloration (websafe, median cut and Optimized Octree) so you can get a nice result, even for a gif format.

Depends how secure you want that page to be. CSB4 does not have code that allows the protection of just one page. (CSB5 did but is no longer avaiable). If you host here with TCH, there are is a quick way to protect. The easiest way to so this is to create a second tlx design file and publish it as a subdirectory of you main website. In your website cPanel there is a SIMPLE, EASY and SECURE way to protect that subdirectory. If you have only one or many pages in that subdirectory, it won't matter. Any page in that subdirectory would require a password to enter. Once you enter the password, you can wander through the directory freely. You don't have to unlock each page! HOW TO DO IT: - In CSB: The publishing settings are the same as the main design file (same user name, password, address, etc). Then you add ONE more item. When you add a subdirectory, just check the box to publish to a subdirectory, and name the subdirectory. Publish. The name of the subdirectory will appear in your URL. For example, if you call the subdirectory members, the address would look like this: http://www.yourdowmain.com/members/ Please look at this page about making subdirectories and see the print screen of the publishing settings for reference. In cPANEL: Once you have published the the subdirectory, you can now set it for private viewing. Open your cPANEL Look for the feature that says "Web Protect" or "Password protect directories" (might be on your second row of cPanel icons) and click it. You will then see a list of folders on your site. Find the one you want to protect. Click it. You will get a page with options. The box at the top (Folder requires password) needs to be checked. Save it. Below you would add your user name & password combinations.

Ambitious project. Good Luck and let us know how it goes. (Don't blame you for moving away from FrontPage..)

Installing Oscommerce Which Way Is Best?
Samrc replied to Corey G's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Save yourself one step: If you put your osCommerce installation into a 'store' or 'storefront' folder (its final location on your site), and password protect it while tweaking, you can remove the password protection and make it live without needing to adjust your configuration. -
A close relative of mine was sued by "a good friend" because he was severely injured on my relative's property. The "friend" entered the premises when no one was home, admitted using the equipment improperly because he was not trained to use it. The "friend" had been warned against using it by my relative with other people around to hear the warning! The "friend" sued the company that built the equipment claiming that it did not have a warning on it saying severe injuries could result with improper use. After almost 2 years, deposition, legal fees and time off work that my relative had to endure, the case against my relative was dropped but the case against the company finally got a 5 figure settlement. My relative did not press charges for illegal entry to the property or buildings because the person involved was hurt badly. Moral: Can't outlaw stupidity. Can't prevent stupid people from trying stupid things even when they have been warned not to do it. And when they get hurt, they blame others. Any instruction, any advice, any product should carry a "stupidity" clause to protect the company.

Welcome to the forum, Gani. Hope your questions have been answered. Don't hesitate to let us know if you need something else.

WOW! I can't believe that email would get that high of a response. I hope not. Junk Snail Mail gets a 2%-6% response depending on the topic. When we did insurance stuffers in credit card bills, we averaged a 4% response rate with 3% stick after 3 months. But the key was the TRUST factor that we had with the client. The offer came in a credit card bill they already carry. This was not a cold call from a company they've never heard about.

Cart It - Cb Not Registered Error
Samrc replied to bluelightnin's topic in Running your online business
I agree that it sounds like you have done what needs to be done. I have not used that cart system so can't advise directly. The CartIt site does offer "personalized customer service center" when you login, but don't offer a user to user forum to support the product, like many of the others. Sometimes that type of support is more helpful than written manuals. Hate to say this but maybe your concept of changing carts would be best in the long run... -

For Those Interested Steve Irwin (crocodile Hunter) Died
Samrc replied to flashram's topic in Open Discussion
Tragic and shocking. So very sorry for his family. At least he was doing something he loved and it was quick. -
I do not use WP, but many folks at TCH do. One will be along soon I hope to assist. (moved your thread for better organization). TCH hosting can provide support on issues related to your account and the software/hardware used to maintain your account. But please know that the ticket system can provide no support for installed scripts. It's not designed to do that. Your post clearly shows that Alex was trying to assist, even though it is a 3rd party script that is not working...I thought he was doing a good job of helping you to diagnose and doesn't deserve the bad rap. I know when something stops working it is very frustrating!! Alex was right, these forums are the best place to come for user to user assistance on installed scripts. Sometimes the best source for assistance is the author of the script, or the site where it was downloaded/purchased. You might seek that while you wait for someone to find this thread. And support was correct about not providing a port list to you, even though your request came from a concern on a legit issue. Goes back to security. Better to find out what part of the script is not working.... 1) When was the script installed? Has it been working? 2) When did it fail? (do you have a date/time) 3) Have you recently updated your WP? Any new patches, etc that could be interfering with the script?

Anyone can promise 100% uptime and access to your website. Goes back to the old "if it sounds too good to be true, it is". I would rather be with a company that has the integrity to tell the truth and say the company strives for 100% and backs it up with excellent support than one that promises the moon.
