  1. Hello, As this could cause a huge amount of network problems, I don't believe its nesscary. What your essientally asking for is RAID in some setup which we do not offer here. However, if you wish to check, I suggest you option a support desk ticket and explain what you want and what will happen and see what the server gurus think too JimE
  2. If your not moving IPs yourself (which you shouldnt be), then that should not be a problem. What are your cookie settings set to JimE
  3. Silly question, but what are the jumper settings for thoose drives and where are they on the IDE cabel? E.g. IDE1 - Hard drive - CD Rom Drive JimE
  4. Welcome to the forums Pat, I hope you have got your problem fixed JimE
  5. Like Bruce says, if you think its a server issue, then please do submit a help desk ticket. Gut instinct tells me its not though. Can you please both of you supply your Cookie details for the phpBB and what path the folder is that holds this install Many thanks JimE
  6. A client may not like their credit card details stored on a database, I know I don't, and you would have to warn clients this is what would happen. You would also have to make them aware the transition is not quick, some people expect to see it appear on there internet banking site immediatley JimE
  7. Welcome to the forum and I wish you all the best for a smooth transistion to us. Any problems, do give us a shout! JimE
  8. TCH-Tim is correct, they bet on people not using it all and if you do, the cut happenes. It also can cause huge problems with server loads and if someone hogs all the bandwidth, there might not be enough for the other customers, and at TCH we like all customers to be treated the same, high excellant standard we set ourselves. JimE
  9. Welcome to the forums Aahsch Many good cms out there, although maybe joomla with its many plugins could be suitable? The macromedia suite is expensive so unless you really really need this, there are many free programs which do what the macromedia suite does JimE
  10. Hmmm, your looking at something like a cronjob to dump the database and then another one to FTP it into the other site and then a further one to upload any databases it finds in that folder. You may even be able to create just one cron and make it run a php file which will do the entire lot for you. I hope that gives you somewhere to start. If the database becomes huge, it may become a problem constantly moving it. JimE
  11. Welcome to the forum frank. I have both running in seperate folders without a problem. Just remember to keep them up to date! JimE
  12. Hello, Best thing to do is to use your working hard drive to work this one out. Move it about through the different IDE positions, if it boots each time, it may not be a problem. What settings do you have for the IDE channgel in your bios? They should all be on auto when you boot, the pageing of the bios should show all your drives. Let us know what it says (it may take several boots to capture it all, its rather fast!) JimE
  13. Spooky, I hadn't even finished reading this page and firefox told me it was ready to install JimE Edit - actually both firefox and thunderbird updated themselves at the same time, sorry I got confused!
  14. Hello, Is MSN the ISP? If so, do they surf using some MSN browser or software? E.g. AOL has its own browser which is not always suitable. Just a thought JimE
  15. Welcome to the forums Jamicat JimE
  16. Glad it all works fine now Flimbuffrich! JimE
  17. Hello, What Thomas says above is fully correct. However, if you are still having problems with this, please start a help desk ticket. Please include at least 2x tracerts, and the IPs of the people who can not reach it, plus the ISP they are using. I know this sounds a lot of information but by giving the support desk the most amount of information, it enables the server people to get to the root of the problem quicker. As a side point, I have no problem accessing it from the UK on a variety of ISPs. JimE
  18. It looks like the original person on the Joomla website was at 1.0.8 and it may have already been there before they updated to 1.0.10 If your still having problems, backup your joomla website and remove all the files and upload a fresh set. If you have an upto date window XP, it should be patched againest this flaw. JimE
  19. Welcome to the forums! I hope you have everything sorted. If not, do get back to us! JimE
  20. Welcome to the forums! First question, which i had to wrestle with alot it is, are the two bridged and if so what bridge are you using? JimE P.S Have they done the cookie dance? step 1. log out step 2. clear your browser cookie step 3. clear your browser cache/temporary internet files step 4. close your browser step 5. go back and test step 6. hold one foot in the air and spin around three time singing "Do the Cookie Dance, yeah, yeah, yeah."
  21. As Bruce says, the best place to ask this is at the Support Desk. However, TCH does not tolerate spamming from its own hosted accounts. JimE
  22. Never knew about the film ratings one. To convert temp say from C -> F is ((C x 9 )/5) +32 Just reverse it for F -> C Still quicker thought to type it into google I suppose! JimE
  23. Welcome to the forums ijoer316 and Michael, well done for sorting out that outlook 2003 problem! JimE
  24. Hello Helios and welcome to the TCH, Can i please suggest you read the following AUP (Acceptable use policy). All restrictions are mentioned in that document and as long as you follow these restrictions, everything will be fine. I look foward to you becoming a client and a family friend here at TCH JimE
  25. Ok here goes. 1) Open up Thunderbird. Goto tools > account settings 2) Click Add accounts 3) Select Email account. Click Next 4) For your name, type in your name. Click Next 5) For Email address, type in your email address you want to use (Remember, you must have set this up in cpanel before hand). It will be something like notmyrealaddress@domainname.com. Click Next 6) On next page, make sure pop is selected, then put mail.domainname.com where domainname.com is your domain name. Untick the global inbox.Click Next 7. Your incoming username is your email address like in step 5. Click next 8. Type in any name for the account. Click Next 9. You should see something like this: Account Name: Your account name from above Email Address: Your email address from above Incoming User name: Same as your email address Incoming Server Name: mail.domainname.com Incoming server type: pop There are a few more lines, but we will edit thoose in a minute. This will bring you back to your accounts area. If not, goto tools and account options. Scroll down the left hand side until you get to Outgoing Server SMTP. Note you only need to do this next set if you have not done it once. If you have done it once, there is no need to ever to it again unless you need to edit the settings. All email addresses can use the same outgoing server, yet they will still appear to come from the same place. Click on it and click add or if there is one already there, click edit 1. Leave description blank 2. Server name is the same as the server name that we used above. E.g. mail.domainname.com 3. Port number. If your ISP does not block it, use 25 4. Tick the box which says "use name and password" 5. Your user name is the same as the first email address you setup. Don't worry about if you setup later email addresses, they all use this account to be sent out on, but will still appear to come from the originating address This will be notmyrealaddress@domainname.com 6. Tick "no" for secure connection (its what I use anyway!) That it. Click on ok and ok again and now just press get email button! let us know how you go JimE
