  1. Hi David, One problem you will have is that some versions of norton no longer give a referrer as a header, and hence you will not be able to block them, joys of the internet! JimE
  2. Hi, Version 1.5.0.8 works fine for me, strange, but glad its sorted JimE

    Tooltips

I have this set up on my own IPB forum, its very handy for novices to put the mouse over the underlined text and see what the word really means JimE
  5. Hello, Its all too easy to sidestep this one. Your best hope is to watermark each one of your photos. A CMS solution like Gallery can do this for you on the fly JimE
  6. Hello, It could also be possible that because its a parked domain name, apart from your own website, it doesn't lead anywhere, but originally it used too. Hence with no content to the .com, it goes down the list (google doesn't drop it, it just drops down the search list) JimE
  7. Hello, After some extensive searching, the IP you are trying to ban is actually the IP of the search engine, Ask Jeeves or Ask as it is now known as. Remember, when looking at the stats, make sure the time is the same as the time zone you are in. I would not bother to ban the IP, but if you really must, consider using robots. txt too to control the path of the robot JimE
  8. Thanks John, the support staff work as hard as possible to sort out any and all problems that occur JimE
  9. Hello, Goto explorer then at the top, tools > view > tick "show hidden files and folders" and also untick "hide operertaing system files" (or something similar) Try that JimE
  10. Hey glad it works! JimE
  11. I would suggest Joomla but since you have the ability to install and de-install every one in fantastisco, I would try them all! JimE
  12. A link would be handy, even its just a simple mock up page JimE
  13. I would suggest a content management system like Joomla with something like the JCE editor. Just like word to use, no HTML, and very easy to control JimE
  14. Strange, I see it in my web dev plugin for Firefox. JimE
  15. I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but having googled this problem, it would seem a very common one. Is it still under warantee? JimE
  16. Hello Jim, For the "false" page, I would recommended removing all the javascript that you call in and place each one back in, line by line, and see which one brings up the "false", you just then need to find which script it is. For the IE background issuse, again, remove all your background tags and try them out one by one to find the culprit. Btw your "false error", having looked at the CSS in firefox with my web dev plugin, at the bottom of the CSS from hxxp://oms.jhollin1138.com/style/CalendarControl.css there is a line with the words "java script:false;". Wonder if thats it? JimE
  17. Have you tried looking through the technical help on the creative website? JimE
  18. Hello, Free wise, I use Irfran and old versions of Paintshop pro. I also use photoshop too JimE
  19. Welcome to the forums, look foward to having you around JimE
  20. All, IPB is proud to announce the release of IPB 2.2 RC1. You can find more Here Remember this key line Do not use this software on a public install. Wait for the final release for your public boards. JimE
  21. It has come to our attention that due to the way some browsers interpret image tags a vulnerability exists which allows a malicious user to perform an XSS attack by forcing an "onerror" event in the snapback tag. To update your board, simply download the attached ZIP file, unarchive it and upload 'sources/classes/bbcode/class_bbcode_core.php' over the one on your server. If you wish to patch your board manually, please read the second post in this announcement. The main download has been updated as of the time of this announcement. Note: IPB 2.2.0 (all versions) are NOT affected by this vulnerability. You can find more here (scroll down!) JimE
  22. I actually run serveral versions of windows and dos, mostley because I like my old games! However, if you just want a neat computer to browse the web, write a letter and do media items, the Mac is the buisness JimE
  23. Another good reason to stick with Firefox JimE
