  1. A white list will always overwrite a blacklist, otherwise there is little point in one being created. JimE
  2. Welcome to the forums Xplane. JimE
  3. Welcome to Totalchoicehosting Sam, I believe the starter plan will easily be enough to run a small forum based on the free phpbb2 forum software. I run a very large forum on the silver plan so you should have more then enough on the starter. For mailman, I would think its possible. Does your current provider have CPANEL? If so, I believe it should be a straight forward to do so! Even if its not, its still moveable I hope this answers your questions. Any more, just get back to us! JimE
  4. Way to go Paul, I am glad your enjoying the forums! JimE

  8. You have to remember that as many WYSIWYG programs fall apart on, is thats its impossible at times to display the template correctley. Your best thing to do is to have page saved on your computer which uses the template your talking about and have that in the browser window. Make your change in Dreamweaver, refresh the browser window and see what your latest change did. JimE
  9. Remember that if that db user is say attached to a forum for instance, to change the user and password in a config file for that particular bit of software JimE
  10. Hi, What you will need to do is for each button, it must have a value, normally the day, or a unique key in the database. When this is pressed, you should be able to do a simple mysql search and then grab all the data for that day (or key) and display it in the popped up window. I am sure if you look at some very simple PHP database starter scripts, it will show you how to connect, and pull the data based on data passed to it JimE
  11. Hello, You can get Paypal to accept credit cards, the user won't even then need a credit card. If you want one of us to check the SSL cert before you buy, please let one of the staff know. Also there is a fee to have this installed. The cart not being in the root is VERY important when you buy the certificate as its most likley the certificate is only for a single domain, not a subdomain) Also a cert is only for 1 year, after which, you will need to buy another one and have it installed again. Sorry. If you don't want the whole hassle of it all, I would stick with Paypal. JimE
  12. Welcome to the Forums. If after reading the link above, you still have problems, please do start a help desk ticket Many Thanks JimE
  13. Just autoupdated itself, yay! Thanks Thomas. If only M$ where like this! JimE
  14. If your cabel modem data is not lit, then thats the problem, not your modem. Its most likely to be something on there side. Do a tracert to a known address regularly and watch where it drops out. That may be helpful. With the photo program sounds like a corruption! Glad to see its not just me that has days like that! JimE

  18. I am not looking foward to IE 7, more from the point of web design as many tricks and things done to get around problems in IE6 will cause problems in IE7 Firefox all the way for me! JimE
  19. Thats a good link Sam, I use it many a time to look at new improvements in some CMSs Also as Sam points out, a few are available to install from Fantastico in your CPANEL. That way you can try them out before committing to one or another. Paypal is a good way to go JimE

Welcome to the forums Kaybee. My suggestion would be Skype. I know of several people who use this on a 512K line and it sounds as if they are in the next room! JimE
  21. It may be generated from a poorly put together link in someone elses web page. Make sure you have a 404 error page to let them know that whatever they where looking for, its not there! JimE
