  1. Welcome to the Forums Karen. With CPanel its very easy to move things over for you so no worries there. With IPB 1.2 I would suggest you look either upgrading it (sorry they no longer do the free version) or convert it into something like phpBB or SMF for security reasons. Both can be installed via cPanel here meaning no uploading or downloading for you. 28.8, not bad, before I got broadband here, sometimes it would connect at 14.4K and OMG, is that slow! JimE

  4. Hello John, You will need to submit a help desk ticket for this one and they can give you the correct technical answer. You will also need to get the new ISP to also allow it too. As a side point, can TCH not host your online store here? That would make things much easier! With regards to making a link, thats easy enough. JimE

  11. Hello, We do have a server in the UK! However, in this day and age, the difference between having a server in the UK or the USA is minimal and you would be really clever and very fast to notice the difference because as noted in the above post, things are done in faster then milliseconds. JimE
  12. Welcome to the Forums Bigdante, I am sorry, I have not much experience in Job boards but someone will be along shortley who hopefully will be able to suggest something. My only thoughts are that you could try a forum? JimE
  13. Hello, The images might not be viewable because of many reasons, like above, have you set the permissions to view them? Do they need to be authorised to see them? Have you got the correct settings for GD or imagemagik etc etc? If your still having problems, give us a shout back here and we will suggest some more things for you to try JimE
  14. Hello, Gzip compresses the page so that it arrives at your client faster. The load on the server is minimal. I can't think of a con! If you can enable it, like for forums, enable it, you will be surprised of the bandwidth you will save. JimE
  15. You need to do a bit of testing if you can. Put an image in your website somewhere and on a friends (or even a free website like tripod) see if you can bring up the image. If you can, something is not working correct. I prefer to use htaccess so if you can hotlink outside your website, give us a shout. I think these are the extentsions which will be pulled. JimE
  16. Hello, I believe Joomla would be your best bet here. There are many carts and galleries which you can intergrate together if someone has not done them. JimE
