Hello Personnelly I have seen more php-nuke problems then phpBB. You may want to have a look at http://www.mx-system.com/ This sits ontop of phpBB (no modifications to be made) and with a little graffting, can look very good indeed! JimE

Hello, The best way to ever check a phising email if you are not sure, is to log into your account normally. That is, open up a browser window, type in the URL manually (don't copy and paste from the email or type what it says) and login in. If anything does need to be done, then 99.999999% of the time, a message will inform you so as you login in. Welcome to the forums Geosword. Check your mysql database, if everything is there, it may just be a template hack. Backups are always good to have and sorry to hear about your forum problems. I believe the latest phpBB is 2.0.19, released back in Dec 2005. I suggest you get the upgrade files from www.phpBB.com. You can also sign up for an email to be sent to you when the next update arrives. I choose to use phpBB because I believe its better then many others out there. JimE

Hello Vista is quite a large upgrade, although i would say less then win 3.1 to win95. What can be said is a large amount of computers out there won't be able to run it without quite a lot of problems. I will use XP until i am unable too. JimE

Hello rr1024, Welcome to the forums! All that we ask is that the mail script you use is secure and that your authenticating sending. Also since many people do not use HTML email, you can not hide a MD5 string in the email, also processing this in an email would take up valuable server resources. Thanks JimE

Hello, A lock has been placed on the domain name. Basically when you come to transfer this domain name, they will contact the email address given for that domain and see if its really them who are changing it. I would contact the original guy who set it all up, he will be able to contact the originating company to unlock the domain name. You could also try contacting the domain name company yourself and pleading your case. Once its unlocked, its simple task to get it transferred. Having said that, if you can get access to the domain name control panel (or whatever it uses), you will just need to change the name servers to point to ours, this would be a lot easier. JimE

Hello, Its strange that it does, but I would not be worried. It may be possably because all addresses should start WWW but as age and technology grows, life has come to accept that not all addresses will start WWW. I know mine does not. I would not be worried about missing glue. Glue is another way of basically saying some points to something else (e.g. glued together). If your worried, start a support ticket and point out that you would like your domain name checked over for any missing "glue". You can even reference this thread if you want, they will be instantly be able to see if any problems exist (but I doubt it very much!) JimE
