  1. Nevermind - thanks anyway - I got it!
  2. Hi there, I'm looking to redirect my users on my site to my SSL at mywebsite.com instead of the www.mywebsite.com that they have been shopping on. 1) I understand the .htaccess code below will redirect all pages to the https - is that necessarily a bad thing? Or should I have it just redirect the shopping cart/checkout and my account options? htaccess Code: >RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} =443 RewriteRule ^ https://tchdomain.ext%{REQUEST_URI} [R,L] RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} !=443 RewriteRule ^ http://tchdomain.ext%{REQUEST_URI} [R,L] 2) If it should just redirect the shopping cart/checkout and my account, how do I modify the above code to do this? Thanks in advance! Michelle
  3. Samantha, Thanks very much for the response! I am going to look into everything you suggested - I was in the midst of reading about zencart when I saw your reply come through. I currently use paypal and it's been working well. But with what I've seen first hand happen to friends and colleagues' accounts and businesses that completely depended on paypal, I don't want to go down the same route that they have. Thanks again, I really appreciate the response! Michelle
  4. Hi everybody! I know this question has been asked before and I've gone through each of the other message boards here, but I figured I'd throw this out there to see if anyone could be of any assistance. Any insight, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated! I need to install a shopping cart, whether I use a freebie or purchase one, I just need it to be the right one for me - I've been going through several websites starting with the ones TCH has to offer and so far have found myself more confused - and I'm a pretty technical person to begin with! Also, I haven't seen anything on Interchange - does anyone have any feedback on this one? Good or bad?? Here are some details on what I need: -I need to be able to assign a minimum quantity per item. -I need to be able to have items which have pricing discounts depending on the quantity, for example 25-49 $1.00; 50 - 99 $0.95; 100+ $0.75 -I need to be able to have different add-ons for the same items which would add $$ to the original purchase price. -The gateway my bank uses is yourpay - however, if I find a cart which works on something else, I will explore those options as well. In an ideal world, since I already have a site set up with pages for each item, I would like to be able to just add buttons/script/etc to the existing pages - if anyone knows of a shopping cart system that could work this way, please let me know. I am not interested in Paypal or anything they have to offer. I have several personal contacts having trouble getting their money - and that's not a road I wish to go down at this time. I don't want to start a debate, I know alot of people use it successfully, but I don't want the doom hanging over my head that the same thing could happen to me at any time. Ok, that's enough for now - I hope someone out there can help! Thanks in advance, Michelle
  5. Hi there, Does anyone have any recommendations for a reputable company that does SEO? Any examples of high ranking sites to go along with the recommendation would be fabulous as well! Thanks, Michelle

  7. I just sent them an email - they're in Spain. I'll let you know what they say for your reference. Thanks so much for your help! I really appreciate it! Michelle
  8. Hi Rob and Steve! Thomas - you're right! Thanks Bruce - I saw that and I guess I was too tired while burning the way-past-midnight oil and figured it was their link at the bottom, not a set of pre-filled links. I don't so much mind the links, but would rather they pertained to my site - I see the links on the sub-pages apply, but not on the main page. Although, it looks like if I change the title, it will change the links that are provided, so I just answered my own question! Ok, do you know off hand if I can remove the extra links with the $50 license? If not, no problem, just thought I would ask if you knew offhand. Thanks guys, you're great!! Michelle
  9. Thank you so much for the help!!! That worked!! Also, do you know if I have to keep all the ads that pop up on the index page? http://www.timelessinvitations.com/links/index.php Thanks again, Michelle
  10. Hi there, I hope you can help me!! I tried the phplinks and the directions are scarce, then I saw your post and gave it up entirely and downloaded the one you recommended. But, i cannot seem to get past the install (step 2) Screen. It is telling me "The database connection has not been accomplished. Check the file config.php fits this model. So, I'm guessing I don't have the appropriate information plugged into it. I went into cpanel and created a DB - it's called myusername_links. Then I added a user: it's called myusername_user and myusername_password. I left hostname and "localhost" and prefix as "dir_" Am I pulling incorrect information from somewhere? Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
