Without your domain name it's virtually impossible to answer your questions. There was a problem on server53, with loads on the server, and that would have caused delays on emails. If you open a ticket at the help desk, we will review fully your account for you.

You can do it one of 2 ways..... He is asking for a copy of the code, so you can download it using FTP - and give it to him, he can modify it and you can upload it. or You can set up an FTP account for him to have access to that directory - with his own password. Let him in to change things (and he has no access to your cpanel, emails etc) then you simply delete the FTP account afterwards.

Welcome to the forum orcanta If I understand you correctly, then there is little we can do to get the domain name from your old domain name registrar, other than suggesting you connect ICANN to put pressure on your old domain name registrar to allow the transfer. I assume you can't edit the DNS at the old domain name registrar to set it to the nameservers here ?

The code for the bulk of it you should be able to do in any standard language (since it should compile on any machine), the challenge is the GUI which is different on different operating systems. The only true cross platform development I have done recently was in C++ and used wxWidgets - which worked very well on windows, Mac, Linux.

Do you mean Dodos mail? Or Dada Mail (which is often talked about on these forums). It sounds as if you have something wrong in the config. Can you let us know what you have set for the config info (blanking out any private data of course).

I find 4 works fairly well - it lets a few spam through, but doesn't catch legitimate emails.

Welcome to the forum marcelk I understand fully where you are coming from. The challenge from our perspective becomes ... who do you email? Let us take the example where it is an email address within a reseller account. Do you email the email address that the forward is to? (Who has never heard of TotalChoice Hosting .... and the "reseller" doesn't really want them to know they are just a reseller) Do you email the address in cpanel for the owner of the account ? (assuming they have set a contact address in cpanel and who again, may not be the reseller, but someone who has never heard of TotalChoice Hosting and the reseller would like to keep it that way) Do you try and identify the reseller ..... try and link up with our billing software to try and find the correct email address for them .... I'm not saying it would be impossible (because when the policy was brought in - we did go through and identify the person it should be sent to in each case - and email them to let them know the policy was about to come in ) - but I remember that was not a trivial task, and hence wouldn't really want to do it on every occasion.

Have you thought about using gmail ? Otherwise, what would you consider a "good" webmail interface ?

There were a couple of accounts on your server which, when they were both getting significant hits, caused loads. This was worst when there were backups being run. Sometimes it can take a little while to determine exactly which accounts are causing the problem, especially when the issue is intermittent. In answer to your question of if this is normal. No, we are monitoring and improving the situation on that server.

It sounds like you have a routing problem, or your domain name hasn't propagated fully yet. I'd suggest a ticket at the help desk (link at the top of the page). Without even knowing your domain name, it's very difficult to test and check.

The old posts are there still. Can you give us a clue as to what it's about so we can point you in the right direction ?

If you want to develop pages on your computer, and then upload them, my personal favourite would be http://www.nvu.com/index.php (it's free) although other people may suggest alternatives. If you want to have everything on the server, and edit it with WYSIWYG on there, I'd go with either a blog ( http://wordpress.org/ ) or one of the many content management systems that are free ( http://opensourcecms.com/ ) What sort of a site do you want to create ?

Welcome to the forums RCF As Carl says, it's MS that is no longer supporting it - so they will no longer provide update for extensions to windows or linux - they will both fail at some point in the future, I just can't predict when.

You asked; GvilleRick's reply I thought covered this; He has stated that you can control; - The number of email accounts - The number of FTP accounts - The number of email list - The number of databases - Whether Fantastico is included - Whether most other cpanel icons are included or not. As Don added also said you can control the - Total amount of space - Total amount of Bandwidth allowed. Yes No, as Don said; At the end of the day I suppose, we don't have a dedicated team of salesman, to ensure we get maximum sales. We do aim to provide the best technical support to all our family, and focus our energies there. So I can only apologise that we did not give you a full sales pitch, but that's not what we are.

Did adding that to your .htaccess file not help? Or are you not sure where to add it?

Did you clear your cookies as well as your cache ?

Welcome to the forums Mike As has been said, you can either throw away the info@ address or you can configure spam assassin to delete a larger proportion of the emails it thinks are spam.

This could be due to a corrupt version in cache (or sometimes cookies). Restarting your computer can clear this - you could also try forcing a refresh - Ctrl F5.
