  1. I'd personally use mySQL. Have you considered if any of the open source CMS packages would be suitable for you ?
  2. All of them of course - just don't tell Bill. He hasn't noticed yet - he's to busy playing to
  3. I'm glad it's sorted, and many thanks for coming back and letting us know a solution that worked
  4. no issues with server366 Have you checked that you aren't over the quota on that mail box ? If it isn't that (the most common cause) open a ticket at the desk and we'll take a look
  5. I'm fairly sure you can't, but you can try putting :26 on the end of the domain name and that usually works in Eudora.
  6. or just put a % in there - and nothing else, which will allow access from anywhere - but should let you test.
  7. You should be able to use your domain name, or the IP address of the server. Remember to allow remote access in cpanel ( in the mysql databases section)
  8. welcome to the forums freakybig Open a ticket at the help desk (link at the top of the page) and see if we have a backup from before the hack.
  9. You can just use one script, and 5 different forms.
  10. At the moment you also have the parked nameservers in your DNS (park3.secureserver.net and park3.secureserver.net) which means I'm not going to your site at the moment. Please delete these two entries and just leave ns1.totalchoicehosting.com and ns2.totalchoicehosting.com
  11. HI ThornKRT, welcome to the forums You are more than welcome to join our community here, even though you don't host with us. I'm glad you managed to find the answers to some of your questions here
  12. Hi James, welcome to the forums Because you have an error page that you created, when google tries to get an error (404) by going to an invalid page, it goes to the page you redirect to and hence gets a success (200). You can either use the META tag method, or remove your 404 redirect on error (you can do that either in cpanel or by editing the .htaccess file)

    Dns

It makes no real difference. The only thing that can slow it down slightly is if you don't set the correct nameservers when you create the domain name, and then have to change them.
  14. Due to the increase in complaints, effective February 10, 2007, we will no longer allow forwards from TotalChoice accounts to Hotmail / MSN accounts. Forwards to Hotmail / MSN accounts have resulted in several blacklisted servers over the past two months. In all cases I have resolved so far, the server was blacklisted by Hotmail / MSN because their system doesn’t make any distinction between forwarded mail and mail sent directly to a Hotmail / MSN address. Fighting SPAM and keeping our servers off of any blacklists is a never ending battle. We understand that some of our customers wont be very happy with this choice but we feel it is in the best interest of TCH and our servers, and will help us to continue to provide the best service we possibly can. Thank you for your continued support
  15. Thanks for the kind words Lee
  16. If you log in via cpanel - then you are using your cpanel username and password, so it's the initial "default" for your domain. I'd suggest setting your default to :fail: for all unrouted emails (it saves getting a lot of spam) and then logging in using the email username and password for each email account.
  17. You could post them in the thread - the only thing is that includes your email address - and I wouldn't want the email harvesters to grab it - if you want to modify them though (in a clear way that we can see what's modified) that would be fine.
  18. Yes, it's almost certainly the headers on the webmail email. You need to make sure that the user etc are set up correctly in the webmail setup. Include both sets of headers in a ticket at the help desk, and we'll have a look which of your settings in webmail it looks to be.
  19. Got it - checking ... and I'll reply via PM or ticket
  20. Basically - don't allow anyone to upload scripts (such as Java) onto your account. On a message board, if you basically let them add text (and not lots of html or links etc) then you should be fine.
  21. Please PM or IM me the ref (or type it here and we'll edit it out afterwards) - I'll take a look - it sounds as if it's got stuck in an incorrect department somewhere or on hold. Tech support has no old tickets in it
  22. I assume you haven't reached the total limit for your account (sounds unlikely - unless you have a lot of videos or something) - but you can check in cpanel. Do you get any error messages ?
  23. try following the red all the way round the edge (including right around the blue)
  24. I'd open a ticket at the help desk, and get us to check the logs. Please paste a copy of the full header into the ticket.
