The only thread closing I can see anyone having questions about is the two link exchange threads. TCH does want your site to succeed, the forums simply arent the place to coordinate your link exchange. A perfect example of this is jkrantz's web ring. He asked Bill about it, Bill thought it was a good idea and jikrantz posted a link OFF SITE with more info. I have had nothing but bad luck with linksys or netgear routers, Bill (Head guru) recommended a D-Link and I have had ZERO issues with it. It has built in 802.11g wireless. I have a couple of dead linksys and netgears that I use as paperweights now.

DirectX improves the graphics, security, and performance of your operating system. if you run windows you have directx on your pc, so yes its probably a good idea to patch it.

When I say Link Farms, I mean sites that contain links to totally unrelated sites. If you want to use something similar try SuperPages.com which is more of a directory. This will give you links back to your site and list you with related sites. You will also have the benefit of avoiding I AM A SPAMMER links and having a listing for your local area. Try to find a page where a link to your site would fit into the page's content. For example, I found this on ArtShow.com.

With MSN you can also try to use your full address instead of just the userid.
