  2. Hi. I am working on a php script that fetches a group of urls, fetches their titles and meta-descriptions, and populates a database with that info. I am trying to do this in the least resource intensive way possible. Is there any way I can monitor whether my script is hogging resources? I'm on server 75 and my website is words-search.com. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.
  3. Rock Sign Again, thanks so much! It was the stats program and I set all options that access the pages for whatever reason (fetching title, etc) to off! That seems to have solved it.
  4. Thanks Mike! I'm running the stats program with DNS OFF this time, and just for the lines from 6-6-04. Please post if something looks wrong. Thanks.
  5. Thank you so much. I know you are all so busy. I really want this resolved; I know it can be resolved, we just have to work together. Thanks again!
  6. Okay. Either I screwed up or someone abused one of my scripts. Either way, I'm suspended. I don't have a problem with that, in general. No one wants anyone to hog the server resources. That said, I submitted a help desk ticket and got a response within 20 minutes. Excellent! Just what I expect from TCH. Took me an hour to respond to the response (had to make dinner for my family). However, it has now been three hours and no second response. I feel this is too long to wait for a response, any kind of non-automated response. Am I being too impatient?
  7. Thanks for the FYI! I hadn't thought of that.
  8. Hello! Under the site management heading in the control panel, you should find a link to the hotlink control. Add your URL to the "URLs to Allow Access To" box, then add the .css extension to the list of extionsions to allow. Also add a URL to which you wish to redirect the user attempting to access your protected files. I have the following hotlink-protected: jpg, jpeg, gif, png, bmp,js,css (this list, by the way, is exactly copied and pasted from the extensions to allow box). This works very well. Try to click on the following link to one of my css pages. Also try pasting the address in the address bar. http://www.thewordlist.com/index.css Rock Sign

  11. I must use imap or Horde/IMP to check mail that goes to my spam box? Ok. So, um, how do I do this? I'd really like to be able to look through it a couple of times just to make sure it's getting what I want it to get and not some things that I want to keep.
  12. Thank you! I tried to delete it, but it would not delete. I also tried to replace it with a blank file, but it would not do that either. I guess it's not allowed. Thanks anyway.
  13. Thank you very much for responding! If I do delete it, will a new one generate itself to collect fresh data or will I need to replace it with an empty file?
  14. I'm using an offline stats program to download and analyze my stats and it seems silly to download the entire month (again) when all I need are just one day's worth. Would it mess anything up if I have the stats program delete the log so I don't have to waste my bandwidth downloading data I already have?
  15. Hello there. I cannot answer anything about squirrelmail or indexing, however, I have some information about permissions. The Pen Name ~ The Portland Communications Encyclopaedia is a good place to start. It makes it pretty clear how to set permissions. I hope it helps!
