Yes, its spam. I get them all of the time. Its a pay service that people who dont know any better sign up for to get their links placed on other sites in exchange for links back to their site. The first thing that would tip me off is they dont tell you the link to the site they are claiming is relevant to your site.

Mitch removed a bunch of links, supposed to only have removed ones that were no longer hosted with TCH or had the backlink removed. I'll look into it.

You can upload it via File Manager in cPanel or use a FTP program. Just follow the instructions included with the script. If you have any problems just ask, several people here use or have used DADA.

I've read a LOT of reviews on gmail, from the sounds of it the adds arent near as bad as ppl think they are. They use the same technology that google adsense uses to server targeted ads on webpages

The main reason I said to avoid link exchanges(link farms) is that their websites are not relevant to yours. If you choose to use them, find one that is relevant to your site or business. If you have a script for sale, you want to place it on site like hotscripts.com not on a link farm. In other words, there are many ways to obtain revelant links back to your site other than link farms.

No, if DNS has propagated and yopu can access the site by domain name, the e-mail should work also. Other things to try if its not the username issue i mentioned above. Try selecting "my server requires authentication" should be under server properties, I'm not familliar with entourage.

also, when setting up your e-mail client the username is username@domain.com

As far as programs like dada, if you do experiance time outs try changing up the amount of mail sent over a period of time, instead of sending 50 e-mails every 5 minutes, try sending 15-20 e-mails every 2-3 minutes. I use dada for my mailing list its not huge, only 200 or so subscribers, I have it set to 10 e-mails every 2 minutes and it has never timed out. As far as paying extra for someone to monitor your e-mail activities, thats just not a viable option. I handle 90% of the abuse issues (spam,copryrights,server abuse). Some days I see 100's of spam complaints. The problem is usually not end users reporting something as spam, but automated spam detection scripts or software. If some ISP detects your mailing as spam, and there are enough complaints that IP gets blacklisted and it can take weeks to get an IP off a blacklist. AOL and Raodrunner are the WORST to deal with.

This topic seems to be heading towards the same path that similiar topics have. That is to say Google,Google,Google. What you need to keep in mind is that alot of visitors to a site can barely turn on there computer, much less care about Google. You will find that many use what ever search engine that is provide by there ISP (e.g. AOL,MSN). Also Search engines can change the way the crawl and index sites and this can be hard to keep up with. I have the google adsense adds on my site, unless you have a VERY high traffic site odds are you wont see any return until the end of the year. Google adds only pay if you reach $100 in a single month. So, if you make $50 every month for 12 months you'd get $600 at the end of the year. If you made $50 for three months and the fourth month made $100 you'd get paid for all 4 months so you'd get $250

When did you change the nameservers? Could be that propagation is not complete.

It's called a deceptive redirect and Google has a reporting system for things like this. If some one does this to you all you have to do is report it. Have you ever searched for something and click a link and find yourself on a I AM A SPAMMER site? Your right, currently there is noone taking care of adding links to the family members pages. Once we have someone it will get taken care of.
