Poll - What Email Program Do You Use?
TCH-Dick replied to dlevens's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
I use mailwasher pro to check my mail, it doesn't download anything to my pc, just lets me see whats on the server and gives me the option to delete, bounce and blacklist it before it ever reaches my pc. Then I use Thunderbird to actually download my mail to my pc. -
That worked for me, removed that line and firefox is working again.

Formatting Hard Drive And Clean Install Win Xp
TCH-Dick replied to RickB's topic in Operating Systems
There is no need to go thru all of that trouble. You can create, delete and format partitions during the intial setup of XP. With your Gateway you need to create 2 partitions if you use the use the audio DJ functions. Here are the instructions for your computer http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/Gateway/M500/3501654su120.shtml Since you already have partions created at step 7 just follow the on screen directions to delete the partions and then create new ones. -
Directory Listing On Web With No Html
TCH-Dick replied to dlevens's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
There is another way if you do not want to use a script. In cPanel goto Site Management > Index Manager select the folder you want to change then select Standard Indexing (text only) > Save Its not fancy but it allows for more than 20 characters. I tested it by creating a file with 50 characters. -
I'm sure Google's method of selection is as unpredictable as their search engine. I asked Google about offering Gmail to Adsense users and I recieved several replies including an automated reply. I would like to have one, I don't want to be the only geek without it, but I will not go to any trouble to get one. If I never recieve an invite then I will just wait until the public release. Gmail sounds like a good service, but the best thing to come out of it will be the improvements that others make to their service(e.g. Yahoo).

it should work with .org since that is the domain name, the reason it works with .com is because pioneershospital.com is parked on pioneershospital.org. Sorry but thats about all the help I can offer, i'm useless with php

If you are wondering, that IP is from a Proxy server in Peru.

From the looks of it, the gallery is already set up, you just need to set the correct permissions on a few folders. If you are using an ftp client, log on, browse to the following folders and right click on them and you should see chmod, or permissions. Then set them accordingly. ftp> chmod 644 .htaccess (in the gallery folder) ftp> chmod 644 config.php (in the gallery folder) ftp> chmod 400 setup (chmod the entire folder) If you are using file manager in cpanel, browse to the files and click n them, then on the right hand side of the screen click change permissions

yeah, it was great the 4-5 days that it worked. now if I launch it it just crashes. I have even tried uninstalling it, cleaning up the registry and re installing it and even with a fresh clean install it crashes as soon as it loads a page. I'm back to mozilla 1.6

This has got to stop, not everyone is an English major, and a large portion of our family here speaks english as a second or third language. Theres no need to point out misspellings, everyone knew exactly what kussie meant, and there was no need to correct them.

Lite On and NEC both make good burners, Samsung does also but like Bruce said you want a dual format burner (one that does both + and - R/RW) That samsung only does - R/RW. Also double later DVD burners are comming out now (right on both sides of the DVD) but the media (blank DVD's) isnt cheap, plus its hard to come by

AWStats updates once a day, to keep server loads to minimum. If you want to manually update your stats, here is what you do. Find you awstats folder.(it's outside of publichtml in the temp directory) You need to find and edit awstats.yoursite.com.conf Change AllowToUpdateStatsFromBrowser=0 to AllowToUpdateStatsFromBrowser=1 Save and Set the permission for awstats.yoursite.com.conf to read only (chmod 444) to prevent server from over writing changes Now when you open AwStats in cPanel there will be a link next to the date that says Update now This can have an adverse effect on a server in a shared enviroment if you update several times a day. If you feel the need to use this option, please do so responsibly. There is a plugin, but it does not run on Apache. Also any plugin/change would affect every account on the server.
