    Drupal Anyone?

BTW: if you want to see complicated and cryptic - check out movabletype's install. This one is very straightfoward, I'm not sure what instructions you're looking at that look difficult. =) standard stuff, really.

    Drupal Anyone?

quick install. slightly longer version It's very fast, very easy, and not cryptic. If you need help with a particular part, let us know drupal should run fine here, we meet all of its requirements. moving this to "blogs" as that's often what it is considered as - even though it is a full cms.
  3. Try Dodos Mail or Ultimate form mail. =)
  4. You would be best to submit this information in a Help Desk ticket. But first, check your spam folder. =)
  5. All I have to say is this: EasyMod.
  6. GPL is a standard license that means that you are free to use and change the script as long as credits within the script remain intact. Feel free to use it. =)
  7. I think that the way most people handle this is by using a "splash" page and letting people choose if they're prefer HTML or Flash. Some people may support flash but not want to wait for it - I close any site that I can't choose html for.

    Forms

Formmail has been disabled across all servers because it is a huge security hole and easily exploited for spam mails. Your best bet would be to try Dodos Mail or ultimate form mail.
  9. You might want to read this and these other google results for php browser detection. =)
  10. They're in your cPanel under "add-on scripts" I believe.
  11. Are you using "username" or "username+domain.com" - the latter is what you need.
  12. It would be against their license for us to distribute it. That said, you can create a typekey account and login to yoru account via the MT site and it will have 2.661 there to download. Unfortunately, it will be under the new licensing scheme.
  13. It happens because you're looking at it all night and no matter how obvious it is, you won't see it - your eyes see what they expect to see, not what is real. =)
  14. I have no idea what you're doing, I found your code hard to follow but I haven't worked with tables much in ages. But I did find this: ><div><font size="2">Agree to the rules? Then just fill the form out and I'll get you added ASAP.</font></div></td></tr></tbody></table> So you're closing the table before the form. That's why the form isn't in the table. You need to close the table after the form if you want the form in the table.
  15. Fixed, sorry about that. We changed the backend so there may be some ... strangeness.
  16. You should also be aware, even though you didn't ask, that Mambo is incredibly resource intensive and, while I do not believe it is a banned script, you will need to keep a very close eye on it as it is not really appropriate for shared hosting. =)
  17. OSX is *very very very* easy to use, and lightyears ahead of Windows, imo. But if you have bought alot of windows software, you may want to consider that in the process.
  18. That's becauase it was the store, go to apple.com, click on Store and look at the imac and powermac. =)
  19. *whistles innocently* and *smiles happily*.
  20. Oh, yes it is, it goes by the root level of the site, as far as I know. =)
  21. That's not strictly true. The same favicon will appear for subfolders unless a DIFFERENT favicon is in those folders. At least, that is how it has worked in my experience. =) Also, be aware that most browsers use a different cache for favicons, and that it is a fairly problematic system and can be unstable - even if the favicon is working it may take awhile for it to appear properly. I'm not sure why this is, but it seems to be fairly wel lknown about when I've done research on it.
  22. you have a file called "Index", change it to "index.html" or "index.php" (I prefer the latter, but hey) That should fix the first part, after which the second one can be address if it is still a problem =)
  23. /usr/local/bin - and yes, we have ImageMagick. Moving for organization. =)
  24. google .htaccess, there are a TON. This is the first one that looks pretty good .htaccess guide.
