  1. Thank you very much!!! - Ken
  2. Hi All, I posted a question about Mambo in another thread and was told to be careful with it because it can be a resource hog. I was also advised to search the forums and read up. Not a bad idea. I did so and read every post about it. The only thing ever posted about Mambo, besides the fact that people like it, is that it is a resource hog on shared servers and can get your site suspended. In one post, a user asked exactly what kinds of resources the CMS is using. His request was not answered, but because of the amount of posts in that thread it could have easily been missed. Being an IT guy myself I always find this stuff really interesting. Unfortunately, the position I am in does not involve or give me access to shared Linux Apache servers to test it out myself. Can anyone tell me what the resource usage statistics are? And what version of Mambo CMS they are from. Most of the posts seemed to be pre-version 4. I am running version 4.5.1 and I believe its codebase was rewritten at some time. Additionally, can anyone show how the useage stats of Mambo CMS is compared to other CMS projects like PHP Nuke. I actually ran a test server with Xoops, PHP Nuke, CPG Nuke, Drupal, and a few others. The only one that worked nearly as good as Mambo was Xoops, unfortunately it seems that most development for Xoops is done in Europe and most support/plugin sites are not in english. Additionally, Xoops does not have a good wrapper solution for non-CMS components like a message board or straight HTML page. Just Curious, Ken
  3. Hi All, I know that TCH has squirrel mail. I would like to know how I can get to my squirrel mail directly via URL without hitting the Webmail logon which lets you choose Horde, Squirrel Mail, etc. The component I have is a plugin for the Mambo CMS. It passes the password and username to squirrel mail to logon. I have a few friends with addresses on my domain and would like to provide easy access. Thanks, Ken
  4. Hi All, I am trying to redirect a domain to a CSM I installed. I am trying to reroute my domain as follows: http://www.kenandannie.net/ to http://www.kenandannie.net/Mambo/ This only seems to work when I place an actual file name in the original server name such as http://www.kenandannie.net/default.html The problem with this, is that the actual domain + file name must be entered into the address bar as http://www.kenandannie.net/default.html. Any ideas on how to make this work? Thanks!!! Ken
  5. Hi Rob, I posted ticket TPQ-65780 with the help desk. Thanks for the help, I didn't realize that was up there. I do have a recommendation, since the cpanel username and password has to be entered into the form, shouldn't that submit function be ssl encrypted? Best Regards, Ken
  6. Hi All, I am the webmaster for Baystate Engineering located at www.baystateengineering.com. I purchased, at the company's request, the domain www.baystateenterprises.com and tried to forward it to baystateengineering.com and it failed. The error stated insufficient credits. Can you help out with this? Please email me at bkenw@verizon.net if needed. Best Regards, Ken Wermann
  7. Hi there, I posted a reply earlier but it was gone? I am looking for guidance in moving the domain from Network solutions to your company. As for the second parked domain, can you send me information such as costs associated with setting up the domain, and then parking it? Thank You, Ken
  8. Hi There, I have purchased an account for a client company. I registered the account under a domain name that is controlled by Network Solutions. Can you manage the domain and renew it annually as opposed to them? Also, I would like to purchase a second domain name and have it point at the site that i registered. Can you help me with this? Recommendations as to how to do so? The old hosting company will no longer be handling the domain in question. The domain being moved to TCH is baystateengineering.com, which is currently live. I also do not believe the owner of the domain has notified their host as of yet. They are curretnly receiving emails with the domain name as well, through the webhost. Will I have to modify anything special for the mail to route properly? And last but not least, can you facilitate this move? Best Regards, Ken Rock Sign
