Mike, If Motha can PK it (psychokinesis) or move it with his mind I doubt our help is needed for anything Motha, Could it be a caching issue? Can you post a link and let us know what it "should" look like?

Try this in your .htaccess; Redirect /olddirectory/oldfile.html www.yoursite.com/newdirectory/newfile.html

You might want to try an online proxy like anonymizer.com or something. Google the term anonymous browsing or the like and you can find solutions that should help.

Well slap me and call me Suzy. Here I was talking about parked domains. Where is the wet fish? I am going to go sit in the corner and put my dunce cap on now. Let me know when I can come out.

Richard, I own knifeandblade.com, .net, .org, .biz, .us and so on. I want averyone going to any of them to get to my .com address, the one I have hosted at TCH. To do that I have them as add-on domains. The advantage of this is that I can now have email at .com or any of the others if I want. I can also do this if I have another domain not related in name like supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.something and make it an add-on if I like. In short you can make your other domain an add-on domain to your hosted domain.

Blue, Before you get too involved you may want to look here; wsabstract.com/howto/htaccess.shtml freewebmasterhelp.com/tutorials/htaccess Back up anything you change or remove.

Did someone call me? Ok, here is my take on the way these forums are used. This forum and the one for FrontPage are here for family members to discuss CSB or FP and to assist each other as they can with issues they may be having. We as TCH representatives can not be expected to know the answers to all of the issues, that's what the support reps that work for CSB and MS are for. We do not support the software directly. If I know an answer I will be happy to chime in. KW, It should be asked on the Globalscape/CSB discussion forum first and it can be asked hee with the understanding that we may not have the answer.

By the way, my good friend Jack wanted to point out that .htaccess file in a folder or directory affects the subdirectories too if there is no .htaccess file. So if you want to make a site wide change, you can change the main .htaccess file. This is a true statement. In most cases the only one you will be updating is the main one. It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish. This is what I was trying to get at in my post but I know I can be cryptic in my writing sometimes.

You will get an email telling you how to get started. Remember that your domain name can take up to 72 hours before you can start accessing the site by name. Oh, and welcome to the family.

Domain Forwarding & Cloaking W.r.t. Search Engine

From Googls about "My web pages used to be listed and now they aren't." Good enough for me not to cloak. -
Each folder can have its own .htaccess file. Not every folder needs to have one and depending on what you are updating would determine if you need to update more than one. The one in public_html is the one looked at most often as most of your traffic comes there before going to any sub folders, in most cases that is the one that you will be updating.

Billy, Thanks for the kind words.

Scott, 'Cause I am new to MT and it unzipped everything there. I am not sure how to do a mass move. I cant make up my mind to have the blog in the root, I think that's what I want to do, or make an index page with a link.

Well welcome home caffeine

Domain Name Set To Expire And I Want To ...
TCH-Rob replied to greatfolios sysop's topic in Pre-Sales Questions
Mr. Bill, You have two choices. Renew at Domainbank where you are at for more time or go to Total Choice's Transfer page and begin the transfer to Total Choice. You need at least 10 days for everything to go smoothly. As you are the Admin contact you will be getting email confirmations from both places if you transfer. Keep an eye on your charter email for the next week or so if you transfer. One good reason for transferring here is you get an extra year so your $10.95 gets your domain until 2005. It looks like Jesse beat me to it. That will teach me to read an entire post. And I see what they are charging you over there. After you transfer here, and at their cost I am sure you will, you can renew your domain for the maximum time of 10 years for about 3 years cost over there. You need to transfer here first though. -
OK Scott, I have no index page in my public_html folder, it is in my /blog folder for my blog site. I put this, DirectoryIndex blog/index.html, in my .htaccess file. Is that not a good thing or am I totally off topic?

DOm, Other than the image size, looking good. Thumbs Up

Agreed Darq, I was hoping for a bit more than what MT offers but I havent looked at places like Blog Styles or the like yet.
