i hope im asking this question in the right way. i have a website www.dominicswoodshop.com this is for my hobby. my wife asked me the other night if we could make a website for the family so i said sure we could do that but then i got to thinking as to how to access the webpage from the web. so my question is how do i make a website such as www.palazzolafamilynews.com and have that as a subdomain.

yesterday and then today i rercieved a email from email dameon about a message i sent on sunday,has not be able to be delivered. it looks legit because the return address is from emailer@server43 or something like this,, anyways what concerns me about this is in the header a aol.com address is mentioned and i know i didnt send anything to a aol address. i didnt want to copy the message here but would like to be able to forward it to someone that can tell me if its legit or something else. thanks Dom

thankyou! thankyou! for the help, changing the margin width to 10 seemed to fix the problem, i really dont have any reason why i chose to use frames, except that im new to this web site stuff and im trying different things. thanks for the compliments on the shop its a ongoing learning experiance just like site buiding. now if i can just get that counter working again Mad!!! i deleted the script out of the cgi folder and cant figure out how to reinstall. but im sure ill get the answer for that soon. take care Dom

i downloaded mozzila the other night and i discovered my website doesnt work well when viewed with it. the problem is, the left frame is there but the table in the frame isnt showing up. is there a way to make sure my site will work with all browsers? dominicswoodshop thanks Dominic

hi lana, when i first added the counter it placed certain folders in my public folder from what i remember, well one of the times i updated the site dreamweaver asked me if i wanted to remove any files that are not in my local folder and i said yes. since then it hasnt worked and when i go back to add the counter it wont from what i can tell. i still have the html text at the bottom of my webpage by the way.

ok i set up a counter on my website and had it working ok, but i accidently deleted the files off the server and i cant get the counter to reinstall. any ideas? thanks Rock Sign Dom

you have to register a channel on a irc server then have the chat script on your site connect to it. then you can monitor that channel with a bot. it wont work the other way around that i know of.

i was a long time mac user then ms came out with xp and i bought in to it and yes im still bumming. Yuck! anyways ill be back with a mac soon. lucky for me i still have all the software. i was running 9.2 so ill be starting fresh again with OSX. :hug:

ok so i learned something today which is a great thing as always. i changed the name of the frame set to index.html and all is working well now. im still making changes but im happy. My Webpage p.s. thanks for the compliments on the woodworking, something else that im learning on a daily basis.

ok i think i understand what i did wrong here, i took my main index page which i call home.htm and added or i thought added the side frame and worked from there. then when dream weaver asked to to save the frame set i did and renaimed the frame set home2.htm and made that my main page. i think i see now that i should have made a new page with the frames and directed DW to insert the frame set and the index page in there proper locations or something like that. thats what im going to try now please correct me if im wrong. thanks again for all your help so far Dom www.dominicswoodshop.com
