You have two options and either should work depending upon the rules of the registrar of the domain. If you have access to manage the nameservers of the domain you can change them to ns1.totalchoicehosting.com and ns2.totalchoicehosting.com and the domain will resolve to our servers. The other option is to transfer the registration of the domain to us for $10.95. This does include an additional year of registration so you do not lose any of your current time. You still would need to change the nameservers so I advise doing that first. Any questions on how and where to change this information should be addressed to the registrar of the domain.

Parked Domain Names But Not Using Tch Dns Servers
TCH-Rick replied to JohnQM's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
The DNS Zone is not the only file that needs to be updated to park a domain. There also has to be an httpd.conf entry and that will have to be done through the Help Desk. You should submit a ticket and provide the domain names you wish to park and we will park them. -
When did you purchase your first account? If it was more than a month or so ago then you will need to purchase the account as a new user. We have a new order/billing system and the old information is not imported in yet. If you have problems submit a Help Desk ticket and we can look from there. The way I heard it the ending was: "...you don't know anything about my businesss. Now, give me back my dog."

The Monsoon theme is a list type theme that resembles the older BlueLagoon that you should be able to use with your client accounts on reseller accounts.

Glad you have it working and thanks for posting the update to help other folks in the future.

Welcome, Robert. Let me know if you need anything.

You do not need to set up an email account for a forwarder. Just create the forwarder and all mail sent to that address will be forwarder. As mentioned in several forum posts, I would not recommend forwarding mail to an AOL accounyt due to the problems with their SPAM protection techniques.

I'm Trying To Purchase More Hosting
TCH-Rick replied to guita01's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
When did you get your first account? The Order/Billing system is pretty new so if you ordered before we implemented the new system a month or so ago then you should check that you are a new customer to get an account set up in the new system. -
Can A Second Domain Be Pointed To A Sub Domain?
TCH-Rick replied to guita01's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
WIth a reseller account you can point the domains anywhere you wish but with a regular account all additional domains must point to the main page of your primary domain. To have a separate site for the second domain you would need an additional account. -
How To Tell Which Server You're On?
TCH-Rick replied to Xantee's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Server 58 did not have the Welcome Message added. I have set it up now. Servers 60-62 still need the message added as well and I will take care of that later tonight. -
I ran a Whois search on the domain and it appears that register.com is handling the domain registration. You can click on this link to see the information including the Administrative Contact. If you can log into the domain control at register.com then you would only need to change the nameservers to ns1.totalchoicehosting.com and ns2.totalchoicehosting.com to have the domain point here. The domain is up for renewal in August. You could transfer the domain registration to us by going to our Domain Registration page and transfer the registration to us for $10.95. This would extend the registration for another year as well. The Administrative Contact would receive an email to confirm the transfer and would need to approve it.

You cannot change the theme yourself but we can change it from the Help Desk. I have changed your theme on the Server 51 account to X2.
-
We can change the domain name on your account from the Help Desk as well. That way you can purchase another hosting plan for the current domain name when you are ready to use it.
-
There could be a search feature on their site and folks are getting to your site via the search.

ASP is not supported on any servers at this time.

Let's see if the new pics scare folks off.

Try it now. The directory was chmodded 777 causing the 500 error. I chmodded it to 755 and the scripts should run now.

Congratulations and Best Wishes!

I have used webmail as a subdomain on an account. I haven't seen it lately but at one time the oddest problem with a reserved directory was using icon as a subdirectory. You also will run into problems if you try to use cpanel as a directory, or mailman, webmail, or sqmail as all of those are aliases we use for shared apps.

It's obviously a countdown until Bill's appearance on "Fear Factor" (or is it his appearance on "American Idol".)
-
Both are installed by default on all servers. As for the problem with the other host and GreyMatter, GM is prohibited on here as well. It is not a friendly script on shared servers. I have seen no problems with Coppermine and there are several users on the forums that have installed it and would be able to help should you need it.

The Best Buy story reminded me of when I worked at Circuit City. We had to visit our competitors once a week or so to check on their prices and were instructed to not to be obvious. It was always funny cause we would see some of their salespeople in our store at times as well. At the time we worked on commission so if you provided good customer service it would help the paycheck. I had one guy that bought several smaller things from me. When it came time for him to buy a bigscreen TV he came looking for me. I also have to say that customers can push the limit as well, though. I spent 45 minutes with one guy talking about a computer system. He took so long to decide that the last computer he wanted was sold. We had more coming in the next morning. I put a Hold on one for him and he left. A few minutes later he came in and asked if I had any of the rebate coupons for that computer. I told him I would put them together for him the next morning when he picked up the system. He said he had bought the machine at the store next door but they were out of the Rebate coupons. I gave him the coupon I had in my pocket. Can't repeat in a family forum what we said when he left.
