  1. Looks like about the same set up I have on my boards. I looked over at the InVision site forum and one of the messages there mentioned setting the permissions of the uploads directory to 777 in order to allow writing to it so that is probably the problem. I think mine defaulted to 755 when I installed and I couldn't upload to it until I changed it. In any event, I enjoy the board and have enjoyed playing with getting my site transferred over and playing with some new things. It is bitterly cold here in Greenville, at least for us. I teach math at a High School here and we had classes cancelled last Friday, yesterday, and today so I've had plenty of time to play. I set up some online quizzes for my students and played with PhpNuke to see how it works. Great service...keep up the good work!
  2. Lianna, Has anyone looked into the problem with uploading avatars? I'm still getting the same error when I try and upload mine. I checked the size and it is 64 x 64 pixels with a file size of about 2k so that shouldn't be the problem. Thanks...
  3. I never give the highest score but have to say the server speeds are much faster than my previous host. From FTP to serving up pages I've had no problems so far.
  4. I did a google search on the Don't Delete this message string and found that it is not an uncommon occurence. The following link was a pretty complete explanation: Explanation Online Looks like you were right about the IMAP and Pine connections, rayners.
  5. I checked again this morning and still can't upload an avatar. I get the following message: I know on my board I had to set the permissions to 777 on the Upload directory.
  6. I got the same message today. I wasn't having any problems but noticed the message when setting up a filter to move some messages to a particular folder. I'm not using IMAP.
  7. I am also having problems uploading a photo to use as an avatar. I tried using the upload button and it failed. I am using one linked to my website so that feature works but not the upload. I experimented a little on my own board and had to change permissions on the upload directory to allow writing to it so that avatars would upload. Perhaps that is the problem here.
  8. I've played around with Invision Board and love it. I installed a couple on my site and find it very easy to set up and maintain.
  9. I installed Movable Type recently and in running the check program it returned the following: So it appears that version 5.51 is installed on my server.
  10. Thanks. It is nice to have this board as an option for support. I did manage to figure out how to transfer my database over to this server so all seems to be working well for the moment.
  11. I suspected something was amiss when I tried to check the board an hour or so ago and got an index with one directory, then a couple, and so on. Looked like a rebuild to me. I signed up for hosting yesterday and started moving files over and ran into some problems getting Movable Type to run but after a fresh install and restore of files all is well. I love the discussion board as an additional means of support. That was a large part of my decision to sign up here. I look forward to being part of the TCH crowd. By the way, where can I find out how to restore a backup of my InVision Board that I ran on another server. I have a backup file made but am not sure how to move it over.
