  1. Thanks so much for the reply Jim! It definately helps! Right now I am doing a little research on session ID's and if it is going to be a problem to have a customer enter the cart by-passing the carts main page. If I highlight a product on the main page, I want them to click it and take them right to the product page. If it's going to cause a problem, then this is all mute. I have designed my home page in photoshop, one large image that I am going to slice up. And I was wondering, I was going to slice it up into about 5 parts, but maybe, it would be better to slice it up even more (more opportunities for alt tags) or is that completely stupid The shop part actually resides in a subdomain, anyway I can put a sign in robots.txt ...like a BIG RED SIGN, "Hey Robot..GO THIS WAY" LOL. Thanks again... More questions to come I am sure!
  2. Thanks hindixp, I already have several link back from several sites, a couple of which are very popular. And I am working on more. So, if I have that, should I not worry so much about not having content (text) on my home page? How do websites that use a flash intro deal with it? Or are they wrong for having a flash page?
  3. I am in the process of re-designing a website for a family retail business. I would like to use the home page to highlight several products. Customers would then click on a product, or on the "shop" link to enter the shopping cart. The home page will then be all images, no text. I'll use alt tags on the images and title on the links and meta tags, etc. SO my question is how bad is this from an SEO standpoint, not having any real content (text) on my home page? Thanks!
  4. didak, You mentioned you created the db and the user, but did you add the user to the database? Many people miss this step.
  5. Dennis, I am not quite sure if this will work for you, but take a look at h**p://www.invisionfilemanager.com/ I tried this out months ago and unfortunately I cannot remember everything about it (I really didn't even need it, I was just playing around). If I recall, you can set up users and permissions for what they can and cannot do. It's by the same people who make this bulletin board (Invision). HTH!
  6. First, when you created the database and the user, did you add the user to the database? Your database name is your cpanellogin_databasename. So if your cpanel login is abcdef and your database is wordpress, your database name is abcdef_wordpress. Same goes for the user name (abcdef_username). And yes, you would use that full name. When they say run the installation file, you would go to the URL.. so www.******/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php HTH
  7. Try doing a search at hotscripts.com. There were a few that came up, one called Emovies that might work for you (although, it's not free)
  8. I tried that but didn't see http-upload. But then it was early and I hadn't finished my first cup of coffee yet.
  9. Thanks for the info Mike! Yes, all the folders and subfolders are 777. I'm going back to the zc forum to see if there are any other ideas/suggestions! Thanks again!
  10. I recently installed a copy of zencart and am in the process of setting up a store. Everything works great except I am unable to upload product images via their admin. I can FTP the images up and work with it that way, (but that requires I remember the name/location of the image when creating the product ) Anyway, in their support forums they asked a few questions to try to track down the problem and I am good on all of them, except if http-upload enabled in php. Anyone know if it is enabled? Thanks!
  11. Yeah! I was going to have to ask how to do this soon too! Now I know!
  12. That is hilarious!!!
  13. Glenn, I am so sorry to hear about your friend and his son. What a terrible thing to happen. Yes, please consider safety first before your other modifications, your TCH family wants you to stay safe!
  14. I see it in Firefox!
  15. Kyle, I think you will need to enter a help desk ticket for this, just put "unknown" in the cpanel login and password fields.
  16. I think I see what the difference is: On the paragraphs that have the correct line spacing you have the class of "ima" assigned to the paragraph (ie: <p align="left" class="ima">) On the paragrahps that are incorrect spacing you have "ima" assigned to span (ie: <p><span class="ima">) Not sure why that causes the problem, (I am still learning css) but if you change all of your paragraphs to <p align="left" class="ima"> you should be good to go.
  17. To transfer from a standard account to a reseller, you just need to enter a help desk ticket. If memory serves, support will then send you a link to pay for the reseller account. After you have paid for the reseller account, support will transfer your current hosting account(s) to the reseller account for you. Just make sure you give all of the information in your help desk ticket. If you have multiple domains hosted, select one to be the "main" reseller domain and list the other accounts you have that should fall under the reseller account. Any new domains (that aren't currently hosted) you will just set up in WHM after your reseller account is set up. I have followed up with a billing ticket after everything is transfered just to confirm that the billings for the standard hosting accounts have been cancelled.
  18. Dear TCH Friend, Sending healing thoughts and wishes your way! You can beat this!
  19. Existing customers will be upgraded gradually. Check here for the most current information: http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/i...showtopic=11389
  20. Then you could just take that one (or more) email addresses and make them forwarders to your yahoo or one of your other domain addresses (ie: delete the account and create a forwarder of the same address) and then do the :blackhole: to the default address so that only the emails specifically addressed to that email address get forwarded.
  21. Ok, here is what I found: Firefox .9.1 It worked on some of the images, but on others it does what you said, still shows the menu to save, copy, etc. images. Not sure what the difference is. UPDATE: it seems to depend on where you right click on the image. If I click in one place I get the "images" menu, if I click someplace else on the same image, I get the other menu. IE 6 - I only received the message that right click is disabled, no menu showed up at all.
  22. I am currently reading Cascading Style Sheets - The Definative Guide and this is what it says about min-height: HTH
  23. If you know that all the mail to a kaseyscreations.com address will be spam, why forward it? You can set up that domain's default address to :blackhole: and those messages will not be delivered, and deleted. Take a look at this from the help site: http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/help/id193.htm
  24. You know, I NEVER even noticed the email filtering in cpanel! Hmm..whatelse can I do with filtering. Time to start playing! woooot
  25. I think it would accomplish the same thing, the benefit would be that (if I am understanding Bruce correctly) there would be no re-writing of the subject field. The rule in Outlook Express would be to move any emails to your "spam" email address to a certain folder. Bruce will need to explain how to tell spam assassin how to route spam email to the address though, I am not sure how to set that up.
