  1. I have Spam Assassin enabled but NOT the spam box. My spam assassin is configured to add "*****SPAM*****" to the subject of emails it considers spam and then when I download in Outlook I have a rule that automatically places them in a spam folder. I guess if you get alot of spam this might not be the best solution, but I only get about 1/2 dozen spam messages a week. This doesn't answer your questions really, but maybe doing this would be easier than having to check spam folder online. E
  2. OH...I am so sorry Thomas!!
  3. Thanks! The Help Desk was able to fix the problem. (and extremely fast, as always )
  4. Thanks Don! I hadn't thought of that, so I just asked someone on a different ISP (and in a different state) and they are seeing the same thing I am (ie: no changes that I have made recently.) I guess I will enter a trouble ticket.
  5. I have a site that I recently updated (some changes within the last two weeks, some within the last day). I have multiple domains parked on this domain and if I type in the URL of these parked domains, they show the site before the changes. However the main URL does show the changes. I don't understand how that can happen. I know it isn't a cache problem because I just reformatted my computer over the weekend and I haven't visited these URLs since the reformat. What am I missing?
  6. I have sites on 3 servers and all are running cpanel 9. I believe that the cpanel demo link takes you to cpanel's demo on their site, so if it is down, it is down over there. Not something TCH can control.
  7. Thanks Thomas and Bunni! I am glad to know that it isn't just me.
  8. Is anyone else finding the forums especially slow today? It's been kind of on and off and a couple times I received a MySQL error page. I just wanted to find out if it was only happening to me. Thanks!
  9. I dunno.... In my family I certainly would have been scolded for calling my sister an unreasonable jerk (even if she was) [this is my poor attempt at lightening the mood]
  10. I loved it too! For the whole 24 hours I got to use it. It stopped launching so I had to uninstall and reinstall 0.8
  11. I respectfully disagree that TCH should host such forums. While we all enjoy chatting about non-webhosting topics occasionally, TCH is ultimately a forum for a business and those topics are really not appropriate here. Even if the discussions and debates were polite, it still may cause ill will between members. And I would hate to see that.
  12. I can see the client list both ways (http and https). Using Firefox 0.9 W2k. Unless I am not understanding the question. [Additional Note: The drop-down menu is very odd in Firefox and Mozilla 1.6 - it's showing at the top of the page instead of beneath the menu item. I can post a screen shot if you would like]
  13. Rob, Your wife can have more than one .pst file. I have about 1gb of email stored across 15 pst files. That way one file doesn't get too big, they are all listed in my folder list and it keeps me better organized. Also, if you have problems with a .pst file, or with outlook there is a tool in windows that will repair/reindex the pst file. I usually run it once a month on all my pst files, just in case.
  14. Welcome home Dennis! Yeah! You made the right decision!! I know you will love it here!
  15. Dennis, I too considered ipowerweb when I was looking for a host almost a year ago. My first clue to choose TCH was at www.findmyhosting.com. The differance in customer ratings was amazing ipower is only 53% while TCH is 96% (those are current numbers but are reflective of what they were a year ago). That there tells quite a bit! Once I visited the TCH forums, I knew I had found my "home" and have been very very happy ever since. A friend of mine is who recommened ipowerweb originally. I talked to him recently and he is no longer hosting there and I cannot repeat his personal "review" of the service. HTH
  16. Centered for me Firefox 1280x1024 There is a background of "stars" on either side, but totally black behind the text.
  17. Duck Brand Duct Tape sponsors a yearly competition offering a top prize of $2,500 for the best use of duct tape in prom attire. I was pretty amazed at some of the entries! I cannot even imagine making a dress (much less a suit) out of duct tape. My favorite is on page number 3, in the middle (based on Van Gogh's "The Starry Night" Hard to believe that is all duct tape!! h*ttp://www.ducktapeclub.com/contests/prom/entries.asp
  18. Correct I am terrible at remembering movie quotes...I know them when I hear them, but I can't quote them myself. Porky's was one of my dad's favorite movies...Plus we played that "joke" on someone I worked with (when I was a teen) so, I do remember that one LOL
  19. "Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son." - Animal House Hope this isn't too offensive "Is Mike Hunt here? Has anyone seen Mike Hunt?"
  20. You will be able to manage the mail for your 2nd 'parked' domain thru the cpanel of your main domain. For example when you add a new account you will choose which domain it should be email@domain1.com or email@domain2.com.
  21. PEBKAC = Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair ID10T = IDIOT. Used this one alot when I worked support. My boss: "What was wrong with the VP's computer?" Me: "It was just an ID-10-T error" No one knew what we were talking about LOL
  22. Hey Tracy, the light show was definately something! We are in Addison and it didn't get as extreme as the Arlington/Ft. Worth area but the lightening was pretty amazing. Last I heard was that there were approx. 8000 lightening strikes in the metro area last night.
  23. Not sure if you are still looking for this information, but I stumbled across this site today: ht*p://www.internetworldstats.com/stats.htm. I haven't looked at all the data but it says it has "Internet Usage and Population for 233 Countries and Regions of the World" However, it doesn't appear to show HOW people use the internet, just number of users. HTH!
  24. Try the Advanced Form Handler from h**p://www.cluxa.com/products/afh/ I use it on several sites and it is a breeze. It does cost $15 but for me it is well worth it. And Alexei has been WONDERFUL with support! * *I don't use the forum for support, I use the support request form and have always recieved a response in a reasonable amount of time. Never more than a day.
  25. Ok, first I had to check my calendar to make sure it wasn't April 1st This is just so wonderful! I don't know what to say but THANK YOU!!!
