  1. Hi Rick! Yes, if you are not using that osc1 database, you can delete it. When you login to Cpanel, at the top you will see Welcome to ServerXX. XX is your server number. Good Luck!!
  2. Rick, I don't know how far you have gotten, but I would recommend instead of unzipping on your computer and uploading each file, I would upload the file you downloaded from Zen-Cart use the file manager in cpanel to unzip it on the server for you. It will unzip it into a folder, you can then change the name of that folder to whatever you want, catalog, shop, cart, etc. To your questions: 1) Did you try installing OsCommerce from cpanel? I bet that it created that osc1 database for you. I would create a new database and not use the osc1. Don't forget to create a user and add the user to your new database. 2) If you unzip the file on the server like I mentioned above, you shouldn't have to make any file permission changes except for the ones noted in the instructions. 3) Your physical path should be something like: home/abc/public_html/catalog where abc=your user name (the login to your cpanel) where catalog=the folder you have zen-cart in 4)Do you have your own SSL certificate, or are you using a shared one? If you have your own, the Virtual HTTPS Server should be https://www.****** Virtual HTTPS Path should be https://www.******/catalog (or whatever the folder is you have zen-cart in) If you don't have your own, the the Virtual HTTPS Server should be https://server*.totalchoicehosting.com/~username/ where * = your server number where username= your username that you use to login to cpanel Virtual HTTPS Path should be https://server*.totalchoicehosting.com/~username/catalog where * = your server number where username= your username that you use to login to cpanel where catalog= the folder you have zen-cart in The installer is pretty intelligent, so much of the information will be filled in for you (but double check it anyway) HTH
  3. Rick, I have installed it at TCH multiple times. Zen-Cart's documentation is pretty easy to follow. Just take it step by step. If you get stuck, don't hesitate to ask!
  4. Rick, Take a look at Zen-Cart, it's an official fork of OSCommerce. There is a switch in admin that allows you to change it from a shopping cart to a showcase site. As a showcase, all of the "shopping" functionality is removed, so it would just be a catalog (no prices, shopping cart, etc).
  5. I JUST came back from voting!! (just so I could give you an early birthday present)
  6. BellaAna, Please tell me you really don't have 10,000 fonts installed on your system at one time. That is definately going to cause problems. You should take a look at getting Adobe Type Manager. You can activate and deactivate the fonts as you need them. I only have my system fonts loaded all the time and activate other fonts only when I need them. For example, when I am working on a particular project, I create a font group for that project and only activate that group when I am working on it. As far as your other problems with Photoshop, you didn't mention the version or your system specs, so I don't know how to help there, but I recommend that you take a look at yahoo groups, there are a couple very active photoshop yahoo groups that can probably help you with that problem. PM me if you would like the links to those groups.
  7. Congratulations!
  8. Thanks Mike! I don't have a separate copy installed so I am not going to worry about it. Secunia has it listed as highly critical, so I wasn't sure how/if it affected us.
  9. How is phpMyAdmin updated? Does Cpanel do this or is it done manually by TCH? How soon is it usually done after a new release? I only ask because a security fix patch was released yesterday. Thanks!
  10. Sure, if TCH is your host, then you can get a password for the Family Only Forum. After a only moderately painful initiation ceremony. Seriously though, just PM a red TCH staff member.
  11. You know what I hate about this thread... everytime I see it, I don't see "scary cat" I see "smelly cat" and then that song gets stuck in my brain for a few hours... thanks guys!
  12. PLEASE tell me that is some kind of freaky cat breed and that poor cat isn't in pain or anything... <----This was my baby last night
  13. I use my domain email address as my main address with Outlook 2003. I use Spam Assassin and McAfee. I do have a gmail account, but I used it mainly as an address to sign up for things or people sending large attachments.
  14. Hi Micheal, TCH's set up time can take longer than 6 hours, although it ususally doesn't in my experience. Per their hosting page: If you find you need to enter a ticket, you can always enter "unknown" in the username and password areas. Also, make sure you checked your spam folder (if you have one) to make sure the welcome email didn't accidentally end up there. HTH!
  15. I have heard UFM is really good, but I haven't tried it yet. So I cannot answer your question. But, I have used for a script called Advanced Form Handler for a couple years and really like it! It's a breeze to use. It's not free, but they do have a demo to try out and if you like it, it's only $15. The support is really good, and they even made a custom change to the script for me for no charge. * h**p://www.cluxa.com/products/afh/ *EDIT: I haven't used their forum for support, so I don't know how that is, I have only contacted them directly and always gotten a response, ususally within a day.
  16. Today's the day!! I can't wait to see the new design!
  17. Thanks section31! I have sent you a PM.
  18. I am installing a shopping cart (Zen Cart) I actually have two versions installed 1.2 and 1.2.1d in different folders. Everything in the newest version works (1.2.1d) except 1 thing; HTML emails. Emails worked in the earlier version but not in the new version. I have installed the newest version 3 times on two different servers at TCH and have the same problem on all installations. What does work is to take the email functions php file from 1.2 and use it in 1.2.1d. So it seems that there is something in that one file that is causing the problem. Zen Cart Support has been great and had me try a few things but at this point have given up because they cannot replicate the error. Anyway, that is the back story. I was hoping that maybe a PHP guru here could take a look at the two files and see if anything stands out as causing a problem. Maybe a fresh pair of eyes will see something that the Zen people aren't. Unfortunately, I am not well versed enough in PHP. If you are interested in taking a look, post here and I will send the two files to you via PM. Thanks! [EDIT] I also wanted to note that Zen Cart has the capability of archiving emails to the database (which I normally won't do) but as a test I tried it and using the functions file from 1.2 works and 1.2.1d doesn't, so there is something in the new version that not only isn't allowing HTML emails to go, but is also not updating the database [/EDIT]
  19. Hi Cem Welcome to the cult, er um, I mean family!

  21. You might also take a look at this: h**p://www.interactivetools.com/products/htmlarea/ I think their demo there is version 2.03, but they have 3.0 (beta) that works with Mozilla/Firefox. 3.0 Demo is here: h**p://www.dynarch.com/htmlarea/ The 3.0 is only available for download from SourceForge (h**p://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/itools-htmlarea)
  22. Hi from another GoLive user! It sounds like you are saying that you uploaded the files to a place other than the public_html folder. Did you place them in another folder, or in the root? You could either delete what you have uploaded and then reupload into the public_html folder, or you could either via GoLive, FTP program, or File Manager in Cpanel move the files to the public_html folder. HTH (if I understood you correctly)

  25. Are you hosted here at TCH? I don't know if this will help, but try reading the last post in this topic. http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/i...?showtopic=4321
