  6. On July 27th at 9:59PM EST our monitoring system detected a batch of our virtual dedicated servers as not responding. On checking the server, we were able to see that the main server hosting them went readonly and got rebooted. We quickly tried to get the server back online by doing a full disk check by taking the server off the rack and working it manually. We are trying our best to get the services back online as fast as possible. The servers affected by this outage are vps102 vps104 vps110 vps111 vps113 vps115 We will be posting regular updates here on the status. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
  7. Mailman is part of cPanel and so the upgrades for it will get filter into the server as and when cPanel integrates the same on their nightly releases. But the current versions that are now provided with cpanel have implemented workarounds for this issue as reported at http://wiki.list.org/display/DEV/DMARC
  8. We have plans to roll out PHP 5.5, we will announce its arrival via forums soon.
  9. Wishing everyone a very Happy Vishu
  10. Our servers are all secure, we do have checks in place to counter such vulnerabilities, the specifics we cannot discuss in an open forum, I am sure you will understand. But what I can tell you is, we take security very seriously and all our servers are updated and patched for any issues reported as soon as they are in the public domain.
  11. Thank you for the update
  12. Just wanted to add that moving the images over to another server is not the ideal solution here. Once again, the problem was with the huge surge that suddenly came in to the server, which is not going to be fully averted when the images are on another server, it may just overload the other server too. The key here is optimization of the content, reducing images, cross links etc. On the brighter side, now you know your site has the potential to generate good hits, so as things grow, I would recommend exploring the possibilities of hosting all your sites on a dedicated server
  13. We are working on the ssl purchase / renewal process. I request you to give us some more time to get this up and running. Your observations are duly noted and will be part of the ongoing project.
  14. Domain pricing :: http://domains.totalchoicehosting.com/ Hosting account pricing :: http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/shared.html You do not need to pay anything extra for email accounts, it is all included in the hosting plan.
  15. Please open a ticket to our technical support team (link is on my signature) with the full headers of a couple of emails that you got so that we can check it out.
  16. Please open a ticket to our desk with the cpanel usename and password.
  17. Hi Eric, You are welcome
  18. Hi Eric, Earlier today the server on which your account was hosted started showing disk issues. We tried our best to get it repaired but the call was made to get the account restored to a new server rather than loosing precious data by risking a disk check as the errors were bad. So we used the weekly backup that was found to have completed clean on Saturday, moved it over to a newly build server and restored the accounts from it. This was reported and continuously updated on the redqueen forum thread :: https://forums.totalchoicehosting.com/index.php?showtopic=43671 Please accept my apologies for the delay caused in the ticket you raised. As Bill said, TCH support is and always has been 24x7x365. I assure you the ticket will be resolved and replied in a few minutes.
  19. We are happy to inform you that the last of our nameserver has been migrated to our own new facility. ns2.totalchoicehosting.com / ns2.snhdns.com old ip :: 65.254.32.122 new ip :: 69.39.68.84 If your domain is pointed to us using the above DNS Host Names you will need to take no action. Your domain will continue to work after our migration to our new server. If you are using the DNS server's IP address to point your domain name to us then you will be required to update the IP at your DNS registrar to the new one mentioned above. The change involved migrating over 24000 zones to the new server. All tests indicate they are now resolving via the new one on the cluster. We will be monitoring the server for a couple of days to ensure that it slots in perfectly and will be working on any post migration issues we may see. As always, our tech team is online 24x7 to answer to any and all queries you may have.
  20. Thanks Thomas

  22. Its been 10 years since the last post, lots of changes have been made to the server setup. Apache, PHP and MySQL has been upgraded many times since, but a major change I can point out is that we implemented suPHP, as mentioned HERE
