  2. Hello Wayne, sFTP normally requires SSH priveleges which is something that we do not offer on our shared platforms. But we have a manual install of sFTP on all our shared / reseller servers which is why cpanel is not showing it. You can go ahead and configure sftp manually, just make sure you select port 22, server name should be set to the actual hostname of the server instead of your domain.

  4. Are you behind a firewall ? Please try http://cpanel.my-site.com which works on port 80 instead of port 2082. Also see if you are able to browse the site. If it is still a problem please open a help desk ticket (link on my signature and on the top menu) with your domain name, cpanel logins and the IP of your system as given at http://whatismyip.com so that we can check it out in detail.

  7. We experienced anoutage earlier which affected the entire TCH network. The problem was isolated in a few minutes and the network brought back online. All services are back, we have been tracking things for some time now to ensure everything is stable.
  8. The DNS server migrations are complete. We have been monitoring it for some time now and will continue to do so for the next couple of days. The process involved around 26000 dns zones on the first server and 16000 on the other which needs to be pointed to the respective new boxes. All tests indicate they are now resolving via the new ones on the cluster. If you have set the nameservers at your registar with the IP, you will need to change the IP to the following - ns1.totalchoicehosting.com or ns1.snhdns.com :: 208.76.85.138 dns3.totalchoicehosting.com or dns3.snhdns.com :: 199.58.177.100 Please do not hesitate to contact our support team if you are facing any issues or have questions.

  10. Hosting the account on a shared server, there are limits on what you can achieve simply because you will need higher level access. There are thousands of scripts running in the internet scanning for outdated and insecure scripts, but they just move on once they find there is nothing to break in. All that is required from you is to make sure that you are running the latest stable version of any script that you install, keep updating it as and when there is a new release and rotate your password to a very strong string at regular intervals, atleast once a month.
  11. Normally changing the configurations on your email client from POP to IMAP will do the trick, as the email client will auto fill the ports. If you are facing issues, we are here to help.

  15. That option is to add it to your current billing account. A new purchase will not tamper with the existing one you have.
