    Uh Oh

Hi, You will need the / in it as its the start of a folder. Are all the pages .shtml that your including into? Try renaming the files your inclduding so they are just basic .htm files Or try php includes, far easier! Jim
  3. Don, A subdomain can be accessed via: Http://subdomain.domain.com OR Http://www.domain.com/subdomain Hence, no, there is no special needs, just put them as folders in the root directory. You can set up / delete subdomains in the CPANEL at your will, so yes its always possible to sort them out Jim
  4. Hi, The domain name has finished propergating on the DNS entry system that I use and its got stuck at 0.0.0.1 Some domains do occasionally do get stuck through no fault of anyone and we just need to edit what is called your "DNS Zone" to fix this. Then you can really get to grips with your website! Jim
  5. Hi, Could you please submit a help ticket for us and we shall get that corrected. Jim
  6. Boxturt, Follow the rules for doing something if your never sure, don't delete the files, just move them somewhere different on your hard disk space, or even transfer them off your website and see what happens over the next 24 hours! Jim
  7. Hi, If you goto the CPANEL and then click on "manage accounts" you will see all your FTP accounts listed. Now click on "add" You then get given the option for a login name and password. Note then when you enter the login name, it will also put it after the public_html section. Now you see a section where it goes: /home/~username/public_html After this in the box, you then put the folder(s) name E.g. /home/~username/public_html/forum/avatars or /home/~username/public_html/images/ And then click create and its all done! If you have any more questions, please do ask! Jim
  8. Hi Excellent! I believe there is one further step about removing the "demo" store names that appear after a successful installation from a non-Cpanel installation Jim
  9. Hi Don, I have searched their website and can find nothing on Front Page, hence we can not answer this question. I do urge that you find something different to Front page as its not the best html editor in the world. However, front page will work on our servers too. You will need to work this out before you commit to the install. Although we don't offer help with 3rd party software, if after you have read everything and given it a try and your still having problems, we may be able to help you. I would suggest that have several sections of your website, like ordering, auction, help desk or whatever, that you make them into subdomains. I should see no problem with the current package. However, its impossible to work it out how much your site will grow by and hence predict what you will need. For the time being, yes that should be fine, and if you need too, you can always upgrade. Just simply drop a help ticket in, and we shall upgrade you without you having to move any accounts. Far as I can see, none. You will need to login to your godaddy area and change the domain name servers to the name servers we supply you with in the welcome email. The propagation through the net will take about 72 hours during which time people will be able to see either site. By all means ask more questions! Jim
  10. Hi, Its also caused by the fact that some of the folders are setup to be owned by the server itself. This is common with things like Gallery, most bloggers etc. It is done as a security feature more then anything else. The only people who can delete these folders and files are Us (Total Choice Staff) who have direct access to the server to change the permissions. There is unfortunately no way around this, but anytime your trash don't empty, just submit a help ticket and we shall take care of it for you with no problems Jim
  11. Hi, Have you installed anything recentley? Can you please start a help ticket for me though and we shall take a look Thanks! Jim
  12. Is this all sorted now? Jim
  13. Hi, This has occured because originally you had your website address in your signature which when google googled this forum, it recorded. Deleting your own messages will not change it as they will still be viewable on the google search engine. Only time passing by will allow google to re-google these forums and remove your links. There is no other way unfortuantley. I suggest that actually you place your website back in your links, so at least people know where to go when they do click on it Jim
  14. Hi, If wanting jailshell, please remeber to give a valid technical reason. The cost is also a one off fee of $10 and is totally upto the lead admins Jim
  15. Hi, If you had transferred, it would have taken you about 4 days to transfer the domain to us, and then another 72 hours to propgate through the net as your changing nameservers. The 72 hours is unavoidable when changing nameserves, no matter where and who you are in the world. Jim
  16. Hi, I must admit, OS commerce would seem the best choice unless you know how to code your own. Its not that much coding in theory, just a online database and a ssl cert but there is a lot of magic in between thoose bits. Most of the ones you see online today in the big name places are hand built from scratch to suit the customers needs Jim
  17. Hi, Thats possible too, and you will need to preload them. However, I do suggest you don't use fireworks or dreamweaver, its horrible coding! Jim
  18. Hi, Actually you would need only one page which would reload itself and pull in the corresponding correct parts via includes which are predetermined by variables. Another way is via "layers". Each layer has its own visability level so you should be able to create a script so that upon rollover, the corresponding level appears Jim
  19. Here in the Uk, still on British Summer Time (GMT +1) its 12:39 just past midday and as typical, its raining Jim
  20. Nat, When you click the months, does it change to a new page? If so, its relatively easy to do the calander change too. Let me know Jim
  21. It will be ftp.****** Information for this can be found about 1/2 way down the welcome email that you recieved Jim
  22. Hi, Its most likely something has gone wrong with your configuration file for these stats. Please submit a help ticket and we shall fix it for you Thanks Jim
  23. Hi, No one can gain access unless they know your password. Therefore, make sure that: The password is a minimum of 8 letters No names, no dates, no places, no "words" Has at least 2 numbers and 1 special character like a . , / ? ! * so on It is changed very often You don't let anyone have it Its not easy to guess. 123wak456. is not a good password. Something like N4?uxq*1t is Dont duplicate passwords, tempting though it is Dont link the password to yourself. E.g. "j1m.uni?" Also find alternatives to Form mail and cgi email and stop running it if your using it. If you follow these simple guidelines, your email will be as safe as you can make it
  24. Walid, Please start a help ticket stating the server that your on and the exact name and possible location of the file. It will then be upto a lead admin to decide Jim
