Hi, Ok, there are some nice scripts on the web which create easy to manage link farms but the links are all like "Http://www.mywebsite.com/links/linkpage.htm?cat=id34" Now does this mean that things like Google etc wont index them and hence wont follow them and hence even more Link farms are bad for SEO? Thomas, The CGI bin in your main domain is completley and totally detached from your subdomain one, therefore you will need to have new scripts running in each CGI bin Jim

Hi, The interface they have is called "skin X" and whilst looking all nice and pretty, we have found a few flaws in it which could mean potential problems for our clients. Hence we have stuck to what we have at present, which in all honesty, is alot quicker to get around. As a side note, we have the latest update to CPANEL at present. What you saw is just a "skin" Jim

Hi, There does seem to be this general trend of problems with htaccess and frontpage. The internet seems littered with this problem too yet many of the pages produce dead links :-/ My best advice would be to learn a new package other then front page. If this is not possible, then I suggest you copy your htaccess page and then, upload a blank htaccess, upload your website with frontpage and then upload your old htaccess page. Jim

Hi, The problem is NS4 has naff all support for CSS, let alone positioning etc. If you want to download any netscape browser, even back to NS 2.0 (dont laugh!) then go here: http://www.netscape.co.jp/download/archive.html When it comes to IE, I program for anything about IE 5.5 Yes I could spend a few hours doing it for IE 5.0 and warn people that sites may not be as accessible or good looking in lower browsers. Hi, Actually sending a URL is still viable, just type it into the email and make sure your email is not sent in Outlook lovey-dovey format but in simple text format. I also stand on the "no" camp. Not because I am an employee of TCH, not because I own hosting accounts here, but because I know what a virus can do. The sobig.F virus shows what havoc it can wreck. I am up to just under 1000 emails being delivered to my various email boxes, each with this attachement on it. Thankfully I have a full windows patched machine and upto date Virus checkers, but I know countless people who do not have such protection, and even worse, people still click on the attachment even if they been told not to. Stupid I head you cry? Yes but it still occurs. When the Nimda virus hit, it didnt matter if u had a firewall or virus checkers, it by-passed the lot and I know several large companies (you see them advertising on TV and magazines) shut down there entire IT systems because of it. Now if your a single man/woman business with the website and your computer being your only source of income, loosing it all to a virus is not a good way to go. Hence, I stick in the No camp. Jim

Hi, 301s are normally found within the htaccess file although a few might exist elsewhere. You have an error log which you should be able to work out where the 404s are coming from Thanks Jim
