  1. Hi Diggisummo, Your second link does not work, but I can tell you this: 1) SSL and frontpage extentions should work 2) You can use our shared SSL connection for free, or buy your own certificate 3) If your not happy, or it fails to work, you have 30 days in which to cancel your account and get your money back! Hence, I suggest you get a hosting account with us, use the shared SSL and see if it works to your satisfaction. If not, close the account within 30 days and get your money back! Jim
  2. Hi, You need to upload your content into the folder marked public_html which will need to be your root folder. The index.html will need to be located here If you have any more problems, please ask! Jim
  3. Hi, The answer to your question is yes and no. No you can't change the admin username, but you can get around it. Log out, Register whatever name you like and make sure that it works by posting a single post. Then log out. Now log back in as admin and goto your admin control panel. Find the username which you just created and make it also a admin too. Then from now on, always enter by that new name. Should you ever have any problems, you can then always go back in under the old admin. Its a clever trick and one used widely Jim
  4. Hi, I just remembered what it will be, for the username anyway! (Amazing what coffee does to you at 01:46am) The admin username is "admin" Try that with your current CPANEL password Jim
  5. Hi, If Rick used the setup via cpanel, Rick will have been offered the opportunity to give your admin password and name, and hence I suggest you reply to the help ticket that you generated originally. If not, you can always request the password via the IPB feature. However, do try your Cpanel name and password first Jim
  6. Sam, Could you keep an eye on this, and next time it fails, please do a tracert for us, and then start a help ticket ASAP so we can catch it in action. Its most likely to be a connection problem with your ISP and the way it routes some traffic. Jim
  7. Hi, SSL seems to be working fine elsewhere, hence the frontpage extensions corruption possibility, it could even be a mixture of the two, but until us gurus can take a closer look, I can't fix your problem! Jim
  8. Eric, Try this: Cookie Domain : .domainname.com Cookie Path : /exactpath/ e.g. If totalchoice web hosting was running a phpBB forum then: Cookie Domain : .totalchoicehosting.com Cookie Path : /forums/ Jim

  11. Hi, 1) php Includes will not confuse robots, they will see the finished page as includes are compeleted before the page leaves the server 2) You should be able to get php includes to work on your laptop, although you could always download apache for free Jim
  12. Hi, 1) The cost is $10.95 + whatever your charged by your current domain hoster to release it, some often do it for free. 2) In paying the $10.95 this gives you another year, so your domain will be hosted till June 2005! If you don't want to go through the hassle of transferring it, you can just change the domain name servers and point them to ours, then you can keep your current domain hoster and use our excellant web hosting accounts Jim

  16. Hi, 1) You need to make the folder called "forums" in the public_html folder. 2) Try installing the forum before you make it a subdomain (it should not make any difference but just incase it does) 3) Remember you must put the path in as "Http://www.jscfan.com/forums" where you enter just the word "forums" (and when you do make it as subdomain, then you can access it via forums.jscfan.com) 4) If you still have problems when carring this out, please do start a help ticket, and I shall do it for you Jim
  17. Sam, After having a think, could you please start a help ticket and we shall get an admin to look at it just to check that everything is set up ok Jim
  18. Sorry that you had this experience and I am glad that everything is now sorted I was going to get you to email us directley and we could have done it another way. A SSL connection is not held open forever it closes after a time out period, otherwise, someone could enter a cyber cafe, buy something on their credit card, then say me come along, backtrack through the history and buy something even bigger! Thankfully SSL stops that from happening along with a whole host of other security measures that people put in place, just remember to close your browser when you have finished! Jim
  19. Jdmatl, After looking at this for quite a while, I am going to ask you to submit a help ticket so we can get this sorted out Jim
  20. Hi Yes we do, again only limited by bandwidth and hard disk space Let us know if you have any more!
  21. Hi, The way that i did it was first, enter into cPANEL and then file manager and make a folder, call it "forum" Then, return back to cPANEL and goto your subdomain area, and create a subdomain called "forum". Now you can goto to subdomain stats and there you will find different ways at looking at the info that is only concerned with your subdomain. Any more help needed, just ask!
