  1. Tonsa, What package are you publishing in, are you publishing to public_html and does your cpanel username have a - in it? Jim
  2. Hi, Current GD version is 2.0.12 compatible. More can be found out by going here: http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/help/info.php Jim
  3. Hi, Last I knew, we where not going to support ASP in any form, including that of .net Sorry Jim P.S. Although quite a lot of programs on other OS replicate what windows does to run such packages like .net, I have to admit, if you want to run a windows based script like VB, ASP, there is nothing better then to run it on a windows box.
  4. Hi, Image Magik is already installed on all servers. ImageMagiK can be found at : ImageMagick convert = /usr/local/bin/convert (you can also try the path of /usr/local/bin too) The best thing to do is: - go to the TCH Help web site - click on Tools & Scripts link - look in the section labeled 'Server programs' - click on 'See it in action' for env.pl This handy gives so much detail. Its a excellant script! Jim
  5. Hi, If you provide a link to a page your talking about, we can take a look and hopefully give you some explination Jim
  6. Hi, If you start a support ticket in the billing section, we can deal with it there Jim
  7. Hi, Its a clever way to get around but a quick look at the code will reveal the trick and the way to get around it. Jim

  9. Tracy, If your running MX, also make sure you have the latest patch, it also corrects a few other problems too Jim
  10. Hi, You can do both. Ideally, you would want a box running apache (free download) and mysql (free download) However, they are not the easiest things to get to work unless you know what your doing. You can use the database on line yes, but you will need to start a help ticket and ask for remote connecting to be turned on Jim
  11. Hi, You can give just one generic username and password if thats what your looking for. Goto site management, web protect and select the folder you want to protect. Give it a username and password and then just tell your members. Thats the only way Jim
  12. Hi, Without knowing exactley the end point your trying to achieve, I am not sure what you want from Remote_Host. The [F] Implies your trying to forbid a user though. Its not possible to access the Rewrite log. Sorry Jim
  13. Thanks for that! Jim
  14. Hi, Sorry to have to ask you this again, please send a ticket to the help desk Jim
  15. Hi, I learned it roughly the same way. I would see something I liked and go "mmm I will have that" so looked at the source to see how it was done. Basically create a static website to get you going for now, then you can work on your next more dynamic site (maybe not porchse standard yet) and you can keep on adding to it. A decent book though is very useful Jim
  16. Hi, Its the start of every month, at midnight. Jim
  17. Hi, As jack said, there are quite a few threads on the boards here. I would learn them though in this way: HTML CSS Javascript PHP MySQL CGI You could even put javascript after MySQL as its becoming a language used less and less Jim
  18. Hi, I believe that there are some programs that can help you with this by looking at server logs, but I am unsure which ones they will be. Sorry! Jim
  19. Hi, Right had a good butchers, although I still could have missed something. It would seem that the feature your talking about is no available. Really sorry! Jim
  20. Jerry, Please drop a help support ticket in to the desk, stating which domain name you had and that order number again. Thanks Jim
  21. Hi, Intresting, where was it on the old CPanel? I have a feeling that it may be lost forever, but if you can describe where it used to be, I will have a good search for you Jim
  22. And Jack beat me to it! Jim
  23. Hi, Technically yes, they can all be used together, although that brings us to another point, just because technology is there, does not mean you have to use it, as you so rightly say, can't see the forest for the trees. However, many of the above do link together. PHP/HTML and CSS are all markup languages (I know thats stretching it) which define how a page looks and feels. These three can work very well together and some of the tricks you can produce are outstanding. If you want to learn these correctly, learn HTML first with CSS afterwards then do PHP as PHP is alot more technical then HTML is. You would do well to get a book on the up to date recent HTML/CSS. SSIs are something that these days, although still heavily used, have the same job done by other languages, in this case PHP. They are in the sense, the granddaddy of such "servers side" technology. CGI and MYSQL add different types of technology to a website. MySQL is a database format, whilst CGI allows you to run various scripts. Can they all work together then? The answer is yes? Do you need to use them all? No, but if you do, you site will be very interactive! Jim
  24. Hi, Do they appear on the screen on your computer when building the website? Jim
  25. Hi, Drop us a support ticket and we shall take a closer look Thanks Jim
