Rob...you're my favorite person this week! I sent them an email asking more questions as well. Looks like a pretty good deal...but you never know about these things until it's too late, sometimes!!

Question answered...they use something I can't remember, and Authorize.net...which is supported by osCommerce. If anyone else has any input on this site...I sure would appreciate it! www.securenetshop.com. One thing I don't understand is how they can offer such competive prices using a service that's as expensive as Authorize.net. Any input? Should I be wary??

VI...I'm just not sure. I checked my awstats and have no listings with //. However, if I browse to one of my pages with // instead of /...the page loads fine. Which would lead me to believe that you don't have duplicates on your site. I don't know why it is showing up in awstats that way, though. Unless someone is browsing to those pages using // in the address. Sorry I can't be more help!

This script is from Bravenet's Tips and Tricks archive. As has been noted before, if user's have javascript disabled on their end, it won't do you much good. There are probably better alternatives, but thought I'd throw it out here anyway, as there have been several questions lately!!

When you look at your files with an FTP client, or using Cpanel's file manager, do you see both files listed as you mentioned above? If not...I would suspect that it's not a file duplication, but maybe a typo in a link somewhere in your page. For example...one page links to www.yoursite.com/whatever...whereas another links to www.yoursite.com/whatever//...effectively taking people to the same page, but indexing as two distinct links??? That's really just a guess...if I'm completely off track, I apologize!

OK...I finally found a merchant account/gateway provider (securenetshop.com) that I was going to suggest for a client, only to discover that it is not listed in the "contributions" section of the osCommerce site. I'm assuming that if it's not listed, and I want to stick with osCommerce...I need to find another merchant account/gateway provider!?!? Thanks, Rob, for all the help in the PMs. I feel like I know enough that I should be able to ask fairly educated questions, now. Maybe...

Jim...I'm guessing here, but I don't think that the keywords in your meta tag need to have the quotes. My understanding is that searching for key west fishing in google will bring up sites that contain those three words, but not necessarily those three words together...which would be "key west fishing". Your site is obviously more optimized for the three words together, whereas, many other sites simply contain those words in some form or fashion. In your keywords...key,west,fishing would be geared toward the search in google without quotes. Whereas key west fishing, not seperated by commas, would be geared toward the person who searches google with "key west fishing". Does all that make sense? I've never been told I'm correct in this understanding, so, Scott...if you're out there, feel free to correct me. Hopefully the above doesn't sound like a lot of babble...kind of felt that way!

I agree with not closing the thread. I recently had a photographer email me as she was looking into hosting with TCH. She told me she saw the "client testimonials" on the website, but wanted a more direct opinion. I assured her that all those testimonials were REAL. I told her to visit the forums if she wanted a good idea of how TCH handles business. I also told her to look for the "complaint" posts to get an even better feel for TCH. This is one that is a prime example. How could anyone go somewhere else for hosting after reading a forum thread such as this????? Rock Sign

I believe that you have an accurate understanding...you may want to wait for a more definitive answer from one of the staff, though!!!

Drew, If you are talking about a new domain for a different site, you can't do that on the basic plans. You have to have a reseller plan. Quote from the Acceptable Use Policy: If you are talking about "parking" a domain, for example...yoursite.org parked to point to the same site as yoursite.com...I don't think it would cost you anything except the cost to buy the 2nd domain. Obviously the other option would be another basic account if you don't want to go the reseller route. Welcome to the Family, by the way!!!

Couple of off the wall ideas... You could go get tattoos together!!! Take her to a nice concert in a nice theatre...you know...like George Winston or something. Take her to a play... ...that's all I can think of that's a little bit outside the norm!!

If you happen to be wanting a different username for email purposes...you can always create an email account with whateveryouwant@yoursite.com and use that as your contact email.

You'll have to learn some new things...but he makes it pretty easy and provides a support forum just for that script!

Mike, If you decided to go the route that Kasey was suggesting and put a copyright across your image...check out the way iStockPhoto does theirs. Not too obtrusive and it would be a little bit of a pain for a thief to get rid of it!!

Nevermind...I found the problem. The code above should actually work, but in the file on my laptop, I had a - instead of a _ in the "h2#t_asts". Sorry to post and then find the error...I had been messing with it for about an hour though!!!!

I'm trying to learn some advanced css (well...advanced for me) and I've had a snag right off the bat! I put together some pretty simple code that I can't quite make work. And, it's not uploaded to any of my accounts right now, so I can't offer a sample page until this evening. Here is the code, though. I was getting email a full 5 days late from Earthlink just recently! They weren't coming from TCH servers. I would bet that it is Earthlink...even though she doesn't seem to have problems with any other email. The problem was very random for me, and sporadic. As far as their support...well...let's just say that they should aspire to be a LOT more like TCH. First guy I talked to told me that the line I was calling in on was 94% congested. His solution to me was to "give it a couple of days." The second person I talked to about 10 minutes later gave me an alternate dial-up number!! Needless to say...I don't think much of their support!!

Good job, Scott!!! The way I first posted it worked in Mozilla...IE must not have liked it!! But, that's ok...because I don't like IE!!

Cool images Robert...I had to read the text beneath it to make sure of what the graphic was saying, though! If that doesn't matter...then that doesn't matter! I think they're pretty cool!
