In my experience with IE from ISPs, it's usually just a branding thing. They put their own name in the title bar, add some favorites, set your start page, and maybe include some plugins. But the underlying IE core should remain the same. Do you have any idea what version of IE this user is using (Help --> About IE)? And have you heard anything since you changed your margins? I doubt the ampersands in the links are the problem. Like Bruce said, they won't validate, but they'll display.

I hate Flash. As anybody who's submitted a website for review and dared to include flashy elements knows.

In my unpatched version of IE it looks fine. Ivan - are you seeing the "Click to activate this control" popup? Whether or not you are is key to this thread. Recently Microsoft lost a lawsuit and it is impacting the way IE will handle some ActiveX controls. From Microsoft's website: There are workarounds for it that you can implement as a developer, and I believe there was a discussion about this in the forums recently.

For photos and videos, sure, okay. *TCH-Tim puts on tinfoil hat But as far as the other 82% of my data, the more control I have the better. I'm just not that trusting. To each his own though.

Weird. Did it used to work, or do you have any other sites on that same server that do or don't do the same thing? With Fantastico it's easy enough to install some test sites.

Guess that depends how much you trust a free service to store your data forever and ever and ever without either losing it, cancelling the service, charging for the service, or turning your data over to inquiring government agencies. How accountable can you really hold Google if something does go wrong? Usually, if it's too good to be true, it is. A mix of encrypted network attached storage with regular encrypted CD and DVD backups stored offsite have worked for me for some time.

I don't have a single.php either, just index.php, so I'm not sure that would be it. Have you tried using a different theme?

I can't find anything and can't recreate the problem in 2.0.2 or 2.0.1. What did you find on the WP site about changing single.php? All I could find was something about a guy who saves his posts and they disappear completely. *TCH-Tim goes back to waiting for the Wordpress fairy

Doh. Just read the title of the post. Just to be clear: You write a brand new post, hit "Save" (or "Save and Continue Editing"?), and when you go back into the draft you can't see it in the preview pane. Once you Publish the post, you are able to see it in the preview pane when editing?

Which version are you using? I believe this feature was a little buggy in the first release of 2.0.

Oh I know - but this is a family forum so I won't repeat it. As for Fantastico, it's a handy cPanel add-on that allows you to add or remove all kinds of different scripts including blogs, forums, CMS's, shopping carts, and so on. If you log in to your cPanel and scroll all the way down you should see it down there.
