If you've been having power outages, it's worth a shot to disconnect the cable itself from the modem when you power down. Do a little voodo magic over it for about 60 seconds, then reconnect it and power up. If you haven't tried that already.

I'm sorry, I gave you instructions for resetting a lost password. If you know your password, you can just log into cPanel at your-domain.com/cpanel and click "Change Password." It should be the third item in the top row.

Please open a ticket with the help desk using the link at the top of this page. Provide them your details and they will reset your password.

oswd.org is my go-to for just about everything. You can get quality, standards-compliant themes and modify them to fit just about anything.

As Dick said we will probably not roll with CpanelXP for various reasons, but we will be doing something and will keep you guys involved and informed.

If you don't have the appropriate lights on your modem, then it's not your computer. You can ask the cable company to check your modem from their end, whether your computer is connected to it or not makes no difference. They will see that it's not connected to their network, then the guy will put you on hold for five minutes, and then come back and tell you they are doing some work in your area and please be patient.

If your concern is that your feed will no longer be updated, don't worry about it, it will still work fine. If your concern is that the URL will change, I think it does, but I'm not 100% on that. Worst case scenario is that your 10 subscribers realize their feeds aren't getting updated and they visit your site to see what's wrong and just resubscribe. I vote just do it. And then let us know how it went.

WordPress You can customize WordPress however you want. It helps to be familiar with HTML and PHP. If you are not, and it needs to be "high end," consider hiring a designer. WordPress creates feeds automatically. It really depends what you want the website to do. WordPress can be as simple or complicated as you want it to be, and it can look as "low end" or "high end" as you are willing to make it look.

I told you we were working on a solution for cPanel themes, and we are. We are looking for not only a theme that looks pretty, but a whole new skin with added functionality that will bring more value to our hosting packages. One of the solutions that we are ready to start beta testing is called cPanel XP. It has a host of useful features including news flashes from us regarding server upgrades/downtime or whatever else we want, the ability for us to add custom links and scripts, and a whole host of other fun stuff. We are still thinking up ways that we'd like to customize cPanel, and we feel the best way to do that is to jump in and start doing it. So, here's what I need: Five (5) brave volunteers to give up their simple and boring x theme to embark on a crazy cPanel skin beta testing adventure. We will install the skin on your account and make all kinds of changes to it, seeing what works and what doesn't. You will use the skin and help us improve it by posting feedback both to us and to this forum so that all can see the progress. There is no timetable for how long we expect the beta period to last, but we would like to start it ASAP. If you are interested, please post such here. I will pick 5 from the list and we'll get started.

Wonder what will happen to Maxthon when IE7 upgrades. Will they keep the same old IE6 core, or will they have to rewrite. And when they do, will everybody's plugins break?

Thanks for that reaffirmation of awesomness Steve. I like to think we are, but it's always nice to hear somebody else say it. We could always use another friendly face around the forums as they are mostly user supported. Any contributions you make would be appreciated.

The roof took me a little while to figure out. Another place where AutoCAD is much easier. But, I did figure it out eventually and came up with this.

The big topic of conversation today seems to be cPanel themes, so I thought I would give it its own thread. Today, as part of our disk space and bandwidth upgrades on our virtual accounts, we also set all users to the same cPanel theme - x. We realize that many of you were using bluelagoon or monsoon or x2, but we switched to x as the others are less compatible with some features we will be offering in the future. It is also an attempt to streamline the support process - the more standardized everything is, the faster tickets will move. Having said that, we realize that x is not exactly the greatest theme, and it is not our intention to force a cumbersome theme on you forever. We are reviewing our options and will come up with a solution that is agreeable both to you as users and us as admins. As far as cPanel login problems go. If your bookmark to cPanel is pointing to the actual theme you have been using, i.e. your-domain.com:2082/frontend/bluelagoon/index.html, your login will fail. A link directly to a theme that you don't have access to will not work. To ensure that you can access cPanel every time no matter what theme you might have, please set your bookmark to one of the following: 1. http://your-domain.com/cpanel or 2. http://your-domain.com:2082 Please post any questions about cPanel themes here, and hopefully the Major Announcements thread can stay happy and cheerful as we all celebrate our upgraded packages and wait anxiously for Ruby on Rails.

This is not a theme issue. "Email Domain Forwarding" is turned off by default. If you need it please open a help desk ticket and we will turn it on for you. Once we turn it on it will show up in whatever theme you are using, which right now is probably "x".
