Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but I just tried the one here: http://www.jmbsoft.com/software/tools/ And it passed on my server.

If you installed it through Fantastico yes, otherwise no.

If it makes you feel better my dog isn't allowed to walk up to strangers without being invited, she doesn't go to non-dog peoples' houses, and she doesn't go in other peoples' yards. She doesn't go to public parks (misc. unincorporated fields and trails yes) and she doesn't go to open-air events like concerts or fairs. I think kids are unnecessary (and some of them arguably a greater threat to society than dog dander) but people keep having them. I have a dog instead.

We went to the vet today and got Juneau's drain tubes removed and put a few more stitches in. She seems more interested in her chew toys than the cone on her head, and she's finally using the restroom outside again after three days of attacking my carpets. Only a few more days and she should be back to normal. The owner of the attacking dogs came by today to set up a payment plan to reimburse me for the costs and was very apologetic about the whole thing. The dog that they believe instigated the whole thing has been relocated to another home for the time being until they figure out what they are going to do with him. It's nice to see that some stories can have a happy ending without lawyers being involved. Thanks everybody for your positive thoughts.

I'm no mailing list guru, but I like the interface better and there are no services to be restarted. It allows you to import various file types for moving your list over, and it has an option for a MySQL backend. But like I said, I'm not really much into mailing lists. Just another option if Mailman keeps acting up on you. http://mojo.skazat.com/

Off the top of my head, you could use Dada Mail. Not a fan of Mailman myself.

See, what'd I tell you. WP makes it pretty easy. Glad you got it going.

I know there are a lot of animal lovers around these parts so I thought I would share this. Juneau, my 8-month-old Siberian Husky mix puppy (cute photo attached), was attacked by three pit bulls two days ago. The pit bulls belong to my neighbor 7 houses down. She had left the front door of her house open and when we walked by the dogs came tearing out of the house. Until the attack I had never met the neighbor, never knew she had dogs (because she never walks them), and so I never saw it coming. I know the rule is that you aren't supposed to intervene in a dog fight, but whoever made that rule has never seen his puppy get chewed on by three dogs. I managed to escape with cuts and scratches but Juneau sustained damage to her chest and leg. Oh, and she lost control of her bowels during the fight. I had the pleasure of getting my feces and blood-covered dog home, in my truck, and to the vet. It is probably one of the worst things I have seen in my life. $600 and a lengthy operation later she has tubes sticking out of her in several spots so fluids and puss can drain, she's got a cone on her head, and she's on medication - and as anybody who's ever had to make a dog swallow a pill can tell you, it sucks. She gets to have another operation in a few days to have the tubes removed, and then another week or so to get the stitches out. And let's not forget the emotional trauma. She doesn't want to be alone now and I have a hard time getting her outside to pee. Nevada (and my homeowner's association) has some pretty strict laws about vicious dogs and leash laws in general so the proper authorities have been notified and the slow wheels of justice are moving. I've delivered the vet bill to the woman and hopefully she pays without any lawyers being involved. My dog will be fine and the woman's dogs are fine and she will pay the bill one way or another. But the whole situation is unnecessary and could have been avoided by keeping the door closed or keeping her dogs on a leash. She maintains that her dogs have never hurt a fly, but at the end of the day with certain breeds you can never tell. This is especially true when they are not properly cared for and/or they get the pack mentality going. So please, if you have a dog, of any breed, keep it under control. Even if it is trained you just never know. A leash only costs a few dollars and can prevent a mountain of headache and heartache. If the dogs had gone after me and not Juneau, I would be in the hospital (at best), the dogs would be euthanized, and the woman would be in jail. She said they never attacked before, so when they came running out it really was a question of who they were going after. If you can't afford a leash or don't know how to use one, ask your vet and I'm sure they will help you out. And if you don't have the time to take care of your dogs properly and make sure they are happy and healthy, please call your local no-kill animal shelter so they can find the dogs a good owner.

Fantastico seems to be pretty fast with their updates, but I like to upgrade my scripts myself so I can get them the day they are released. If it's your first time upgrading WordPress I would recommend going through the detailed instructions first so you can gain an understanding of what's going on. (It will also help you better learn the WP structure.) After you do it once or twice, you'll be able to do it in your sleep. Instructions here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordP...ed_Instructions

I don't think I've ever seen a web hosting company that lists the packages it does not support. That seems like poor marketing, not to mention a big waste of time. The page Bruce sent you to tells you what you're getting. If it's not on the list, you can safely assume it's not offered. You are always welcome to ask though. It doesn't take very long to type "we do not currently support PHP5 and have no plans to do so," so don't worry about wasting our time asking the same question over and over because searching for "PHP5" didn't yield the results you wanted. (Third thread down, btw.)

Just use the server IP, don't put ftp. in front of it. So: 72.18.130.123

Man, we should have thought of that before For what it's worth, I would never open a forwarded email attachment anyway. Want to forward me something? Put it inline in the message body. I don't want to have to guess what's in that attachment. But maybe I'm just paranoid.

As a side note, you could get a dedicated box and do whatever you want with it.

Welcome to the forums shinyo21. If you can't browse the Internet, how did you post this message?

I must be missing something. What are you using right now to edit files? Like you said, we took that down awhile back. Walk us through your process and we can help. Right now looking at the source file on the server the characters are in there. It would be easy enough to delete them through the text editor in cPanel. No HTML knowledge required, just delete those characters.

Phpbb Won't Allow Me To Create New Database
TCH-Tim replied to BigDaddyJinx's topic in Installing Scripts
I used Firefox and did it through the scripts library using that same form you posted a screenshot of. When I created the test forum on my own account it told me that the admin username and pass both have to be at least 10 characters. I kept that rule in mind when I tried yours and it worked perfectly. -

I took a look at your server and had no problem creating (and subsequently deleting) a test forum under your account. You might try posting that error screenshot again. You can attach it directly to the post. -
Give the code below a shot. Fixed probably a half dozen or more miscellaneous missing, misplaced or misused quotes, semicolons, and the leading <?php under the <body> tag. Final product left me unable to connect to the database, but no parse errors. See what it does for you. ><HTML> <head> <title>Review CMS: Add New Review</title> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" /> </head> <BODY> <?php $connection = @mysql_connect('localhost', 'username', 'password'); if (!$connection) { exit('<p>Unable to connect to the ' . I'm not familiar with the error you are seeing and had no problems creating a forum just now on my own site. What's your domain?
