  1. That is very strange. I have set up two mailing lists and they've both worked fine. I wonder if it has something to do with your account and not the list? I think a help ticket would be a good idea at this point. Sorry I wasn't able to be more help.
  2. You can check the following: 1. Make sure you have single e-mails set up rather than the posts going out as a digest. 2. Make sure emergency moderation is not chosen (all e-mails would be held for approval if so) 3. Check what you have set for the maximum length in KB. If you exceeded it, the e-mail probably wouldn't go through. That's about all I can see that would prevent an e-mail going through besides the address not being subscribed in the first place. Let me know if none of these help and I can try to troubleshoot further. Kristi
  3. Hard to say without actually looking at your setup, but do you have the permissions set correctly? I know there's a choice where the admin has to approve all e-mails before they'll go through, even from subscribed addresses. I'll take a look at my lists to see what else I can find.
  4. Our thoughts are with you too, Thomas. I hope that your little girl gets 100% better! Kristi
  5. Ah, but see this ISN'T a family. If it were truly a family, I could tell him he came across as an unreasonable jerk and wouldn't get any backlash from it. But since this is the happy happy joy joy politically correct forum where no one can even think ill of someone without getting scolded, I can't do that. And delete this if you want. I'm beginning to think that Madman had the right idea all along.
  6. If you have two completely separate domains, you will either have to have two accounts or a reseller package. Or you could create the club's page on a subdomain of your domain (club.******) but it would still have your domain's name in it.
  7. Something like this has already been requested and denied. See this thread
  8. Take a look at the original thread or this thread
  9. I remember in Jr. High we were told one through ten should be spelled out and for anything above that, figures should be used. That's what the Gregg Reference Manual has as well for the general rule of thumb (the REAL rules your teacher taught you as opposed to the AP rules some uneducated journalists decided to make "law" because they had no english skills to begin with Yeah, I'm sure I'll take some flak for that. heh) However, there are exceptions, and different rules for specific situations that you probably don't care about (and most people don't know about anyway) so I doubt they're worth the bother.
  10. A horse dating site? Hmm...I can see it now.... Hot stallion looking for pretty little filly for a quick roll in the hay. Not seeking long-term commitment.
  11. Did you do these follow up changes MikeJ posted? I was having the same problem as you but when I did this, I was fine.
  12. Still scrolling off to the right on my 800x600 (Firefox). I need to learn CSS too. I just know the very very basics from the stylesheets we use at work.
  13. I run at 800x600 too.
  14. If you have tables, making their width a fixed percentage rather than pixels may help (I haven't actually looked at the site) I know on a couple of my pages, the background is made for 800x600 and doesn't look right in higher resolutions, but I have decided to keep it that way anyway because I like the background so much.
  15. IIRC, unless you have a dedicated server, you are limited to the streaming abilities of html.
  16. I'm not 100% positive, but don't you have to save the file as a .inc file rather than an htm file? I know at work our includes are named sidenav.inc
  17. Everything shows up in IL
  18. Being 31.3% geek, it goes without saying that I'm a bit wacko.
  19. I like DW because I can have the code and WYSIWYG page open on the same screen. It comes in handy when I need to tweak something.
  20. Isn't it, "encumbered by idgits, we pressed on? Young Guns 2 I believe. Mine is: "Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son."
  21. Now THAT would be quite a phenomenon! I don't think I want to be around if Venus crosses in front of the moon!
  22. I never liked Frontpage because of the tons of extra crap it added to the code. Mad!!! I started out on Netscape Composer, tried Frontpage, hated it, and went to Dreamweaver (which I love!). This is now what I use at work and at home.
  23. Too darn hot and humid for me! Upper 80s and high (60% - 90%) humidity all week here in central Illinois. Yuck! Is it fall yet?
  24. I thought perhaps HG was getting a new look.
  25. As I understand it, unless they say otherwise, you can alter the image, but you cannot use the images in a collection as your "own" images. In other words, you can't have a clip art collection on your site for download that includes their images.
