I don't know that CPanel is working on such an option or not. I would doubt it since Cpanel is designed to control an individual site. THe reseller accounts have more control over disk quotas and bandwidth since those accounts are designed for multiple users and sites. Ultimately you are responsible for your entire site. THere is an option in Cpanel to view Disk Usage and you can see how much space each subdirectory is using. If someone is maintaining one subdomain of your account and using too much space you should ask them to take care of it or get their own account. I would also say it's important to keep an eye on what they have in the subdomain as well. If someone violates the AUP then the entire account can be suspended or terminated.

IE is an awful ftp client. I have never been able to get it to work with an added ftp account and haven't seen anyone else be sucessful either. I haven't tried the command line for anything but my main account so I'd have to play with thaht to see how it might work. I would recommend getting one of the free FTP clients and using it. I use Filezilla and CoreFTP a lot and love both. Many folks here like SmartFTP. All three are free and don't dump spyware on your machine either. I test FTP problems with these clients and it is rare when they don't work (and when they don't there is usually a problem somewhre that we can then find.)

Send me a PM with a couple of the accounts you were sending to and I will check and see if they are still queued. I looked at several messages in there and the ones I checked were not able to be delivered for various reasons.

You might try looking at hotscripts.com and see what is there. We also discussed a simple script for emailing a copy of a backup of a MySQL db some time back called dbsender. It's a nice script if you just want the backup of a forum db or Movable Type db. I provided instructions on how to set it up and create a cron job to run it each night. Check out this thread on backing up your database for more on this script.

Thanks for your ticket. I suspect since we've received a couple of tickets on this that it would be good to repeat some of the info for all to see. Basically some folks have been trying to exploit the formmail scripts again. It's akin to a thief "rattling the doorknobs" to see if they can get in. When they fail there is a bounce message sent to the account. The mail queue will attempt to deliver the message several times before giving up. We had reenabled formmail on some servers at user request but are disabling it again. FormMail is the most widely known script so it is the most attacked. There are many more options and we encourage anyone using formmail to look into those including the php script still being discussed on our forums.

If you changed your nameservers today you are likely still seeing the old site. It takes 24-72 hours for the changes to take place, especially when the domain has been on a different server. You will know that has propagated when you can pull up the CPanel with the domain name. Even then it may be sporatic depending on how your ISP handles the DNS.

Please submit a ticket so we can look into it.

The account is set up and ready to go. I remember setting it while answering your Help Desk ticket. I'll have the welcome email resent to the email on file.

Andy was right, there was a \ at the end of the file you mentioned. I have renamed it and you should be able to delete it now. If you have any problems just let us know.

As for why it took a while to delete the temporary internet files, that is not unusual especially if you have a lot of space alloted to those files. I have mine set to about 10 megs and have it check for a new page everytime I call a page. As you can see from the comments here, it looks like everyone is seeing the correct page. Your old page is cached in your system somewhere, either the browser or the ISP. I would definitely try turning off the modem for a short while and then restarting. I've seen this before and that normally will fix it.

You should try clearing your temporary internet files from your browser. You can also try hitting Control-F5 to force a refresh of the page. Sounds like the old page is cached and I suspect it is on your computer. You should also try resetting your cable modem if you have on by turning it off for a short time and then restarting.

Provide a url so we can see what is happening. I'm not real sure what you are trying to do.

Before propagation images can be a problem when you are using relative addresses or using the domain name in the address. It should work fine after the domain has propagated.

CPanel allows you to set up email accounts as you need them. It is a great feature but can be frustrating to get things working as you envision. Here are some hints on how the system works and how you can use that to customize your own set-up. Let's assume you have an account and your CPanel log-in is username and password for the domain ****. Your main email account is username@****, right? Well, not exactly. The main account is a bit different from all the accounts you set up yourself. If you look at the Default Address it is listed as username. You actually don't have an email account called username@**** but mail sent there will go to the default address. [A technical note, your main email actually would have the address username@server##.totalchoicehosting.com (with the ## being your server number.)] To check the mail in this account you use username as the user in your email client along with mail.**** as the pop3 host and your password. You can also use your IP address or just **** since they all will resolve to the same thing. Now, let's say you want to add some accounts. You decide you want an account for yourself and your spouse so you create husband and wife as accounts. The addresses used would be husband@**** and wife@****. The log in details for the wife would be: Username: wife@**** (note that it uses the whole address) Password: Whatever you set up POP3 Host: mail.**** (or **** or IP address) The format is the same for all the accounts you set up. Now, let's say you send mail to username@****. Where does it go? It goes to your main account just as you expect. This works fine for a while but you start getting more and more spam. You can leave the main account as the catch all default account and handle it there but there may be some messages in it that are not spam. You have a couple of options. You might decide that any mail that is not addressed directly to husband or wife should be discarded. This is pretty easy to do. Change your Default Address to :blackhole: (be sure to include both colons) and any mail sent to an address other than husband@**** or wife@**** will be discarded. What about mail sent to username@****? Remember earlier we said that it actually would go to the defaul address? That means that it now will be discarded. In order to continue using that address you would need to set up an account called username. It is not a duplicate of the main account. You would have to use username@**** as the log in name to access it rather than the main account but mail sent to username@**** will now go there rather than the default address. Yeah, my son is in a private school working mainly with Middle School aged kids. He's been there almost two months and I think the culture shock was more than he expected. We lived in Colombia for several years when he was a teenager so he thought he would have no problem with that but Korea is much different than the US or Colombia and being an adult is not like being a teen. We'd like to visit over Christmas break and are looking into it.

Where are you working in Korea? My son is teaching in an English language school in Kwangju.

I would add that you should use the Help Desk to submit requests rather than email since it is on an encryptic page and thus more secure in sending your password and other information. And do fill in all the information requested. It delays things if we have to ask for incomplete information. Most folks don't fill in the server information or fill it in incorrectly but I love it when it is there. It really makes things go quicker on our end. To see your server just log into CPanel and look at the top where it says Welcome to Server##" That's what we need.

Check your email. You should have the information you are waiting on.
