I am seeing the site fine now at http://www.theropingbox.com.

No, we offer a variety of plans as found on our Webhosting Plans page. We do not offer customized plans.

This has been fixed. Two tickets came in as I was fixing it. -
Can't Find Invision Board On My Cpanel
TCH-Rick replied to Don C's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
I have added IPB to the Add-on Scripts and have added the Welcome message to the server. -
I started to reply earlier but cancelled it. The truth is I was working through the Help Desk tickets after getting here about 4:30. There were a number still open due to the problems mentioned in another thread so I was working through them and catching up in the forums as well. I came across the ticket mentioned in this post about the same time as I saw the post in the forums so I moved it to On Hold to deal with it personally. The ticket was dealt with on the Help Desk and solved there. The answer to this is yes and no. Yes, all techs can see the previous information if, and this is the problem that came up in this case, the original ticket is reopened when a reply is made. In this case there were three tickets opened at different times rather than all in one ticket. As a result all of the information was not readily available. Only three techs worked on the issue beforehand, not four or five as was insinuated. To prevent such problems there are some simple steps to take. First, do use the Help Desk and supply the information requested. Second, make all replies to the original ticket so that it is kept together. Third, if you are not satisfied with a response, request to have the ticket escalated. It will then go to me and I will get it to whoever can best answer. Please understand, Depco, that I am not saying that this is your fault. I saw the problem immediately when I looked at the ticket based on a test that a tech ran but that person had missed seeing something in the headers of the test message because they did not realize that the domain you were emailing was not on our server. That information was in the previous ticket but not in the opened one. I disagree with the statement that the Help Desk needs help. We answer a lot of tickets every day and I think it is working very well. Unfortunately, we are all human and will make some mistakes.

Ok Now What Happened ...can't Access Cpanel
TCH-Rick replied to Feen's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
It is not uncommon for the propagation to be incomplete during the first week. This is especially true on dial-up. Basically it is a case of your ISP not having all of their DNS updated so it depends on which server you connect to as to whether you get the new or old IP address. -
I just responded to your last ticket reply. This issue needs to be addressed through the Help Desk. Request to have it escalated there and I will move it to our admins to look at if the problem persists. The PhpBB worm problem yesterday required most of their attention which is the main reason it wasn't escalated then.

Bruce is right, the message is saying that the account does not exist. Your default address is set to :fail: in the account and there is no account created using ziveuco@ziveu.com so messages sent to that address bounce. You can either set the default to ziveuco (which I suspect was the case before the server repairs) or create an account in CPanel using that user name. Personally, I would choose the latter and keep the default set to :fail: as it cuts down on spam sent to non-existent addresses.

Can I Have All The Files Of My Domain 'reset' To
TCH-Rick replied to rnmcd's topic in Looking for......
Yes, just open a Help Desk ticket using the link at the top of this page and request that the account be reprovisioned. -
Please open a Help Desk ticket using the link at the top of this page. Include details such as the SQL file name and the database name which needs to be populated.
-
I would caution that the feature is pretty new and I'm not sure it is working correctly. One person I know enabled the quotas but it is not working for them. I am watching the CPanel forums to see if there are any bug reports on it.
-
If you have a file called index.html in the public_html directory it should come up as the default page. Be sure that the filename is lowercase only. Without a domain name I am afraid we cannot be sure what might be happening.

You can log into Horde Webmail and use the Folders icon to clear an entire folder. Logging into your main email account will also allow access to your created accounts. Do note that if you just move mail to the Trash and don't clear the trash it will still take up space. There are times when you don't have enough disk space left to clear the inbox. In those cases, open a Help Desk ticket and let us know which account needs to be cleared and we can do it from the server pretty easily.

Once a site hits 100% of the alloted bandwidth it is suspended until the end of the month or until bandwidth is added.

Please Tell Me Why I Should Use You Guys When...
TCH-Rick replied to ozziegt's topic in Pre-Sales Questions
I would add a #5 to the possibilities that Raul mentioned, and that is an insecure script being run on your site. Most of the hacks we see are due to weaknesses in a script being run that has not been updated or patched. -
I did rebuild your DNS Zone after replying to the Help Desk ticket. You may need to wait a bit for the changes to propagate but all of the subdomains are resolving for me now.
-
Please submit a Help Desk ticket using the link at the top of this page. It sounds like there could be a problem with the DNS Zone but we would need more information to be able to check.
-
You will need to set the nameservers to ns1.totalchoicehosting.com and ns2.totalchoicehosting.com. Then open a Help Desk ticket using the link at the top of this page and ask to have the domain parked on your account so that both domains will work.

Advanced Guestbook - Forgot Password...
TCH-Rick replied to llama_thumper's topic in Installing Scripts
You can edit the database directly in PHPMyAdmin and remove the password from your Admin user so that you can log in without a password. You can then reset it from the admin console. IM me at tchgururick if you need any help with it. -
I'm sorry that you saw my response as strong. I did not mean to imply that you meant to steal bandwidth, I only wanted folks that would read your reply to understand that the IP address manner of accessing the site is not intended to be used permanently and to clarify things for the original question in this thread.
-
Just to be clear, accessing the site by using the IP address does not log the access to your logs that are visible in CPanel. There is a log available to the techs to view access. Using the IP address as given in your Welcome Email to access the site is intended to provide a way to upload the site and test some before propagation. It is not intended to be used on an ongoing basis and abuse of using the IP can result in suspension. In addition, some scripts will not work correctly before domain propagation or using the IP address. Returning to the original question, you do not have to use our DNS. If you use enternal DNS you should have them set an A record for your domain/subdomain etc. using the IP address only and not use a redirect to http://IPAddress/~username so that calls to the domain will be directed here. If you have any questions on this please open a Help Desk ticket using the link at the top of this page and include full details on what you want to do so that we can advise.
-
We have chosen the policy to require that domain parking be done through the Help Desk. The Cpanel parking option does not always work correctly and by requiring that it be done by us we can check that it is correct and if there is a problem we have a record of what has been done that we can review. As for using .htaccess or redirection to get around the AUP, we do not routinely police sites but if it is brought to our attention the site will be suspended.
-
It is best to address these types of issues to the Help Desk. I believe that RDNS has been requested on the server. I would suggest sending in a ticket so that we can check and have a record.
-
You need to contact the registrar and change the nameservers to ns1.totalchoicehosting.com and ns2.totalchoicehosting.com so that it will point here. You will need to open a Help Desk ticket using the link at the top of this page requesting to have the other domains parked. You can transfer the domains to us by going to our Domain Registration Page.
-
The error returned most often means a problem with the file permissions. You should set the permissions to 755 for all perl scripts. Without a domain name it is hard to determine exactly what might be happening.
