  1. As I mentioned in the Help Desk ticket, a big advantage to installing the module into your site is that it will be avalilable should anything change. Most Perl modules can be installed locally either to the directory that the script is in or to a directory specified as an includes directory. We run into a number of issues when a server is moved, for example, when scripts stop working. In most cases it is because a module was added that is not a part of the default install and so it is missing when the server is moved. Installing modules locally will mean they are moved when the account is moved.
  2. I'm afraid there is not much we can do to help as your site is not hosted by us. You should contact technical support at your hosting company to determine why the changes are not working.
  3. It generally doesn't matter. I've just seen cases where the mail prefix doesn't resolve with some ISP's DNS as well. Personally I don't use the mail in front of any of my domains for the POP3 or SMTP hosts.
  4. I would suggest trying popalockri.com as the pop3 and SMTP hosts (without mail. in front.)
  5. Please open a Help Desk ticket using the link at the top of this page. When some of the servers were moved all the scripts did not get added to the Add-on Scripts.
  6. It really depends on which path you are setting. If you are setting the location of the index file and want it visible when you enter your domain name in the browser then /home/atomicmr/public_html/ would be correct. /home/atomicmr/public_html/mt would be the path to the MT files.
  7. The absolute path to your root directory is /home/cpanelusername/ so if Mt is in public_html then it would be /home/cpanelusername/public_html/mt/.
  8. CPanel uses ports 2082 and 2083. 2083 is the SSL port and the other is regular. You can use http://put_your_domain_here/cpanel to access CPanel over port 2082.
  9. This is a bug in CPanel. We can delete the accounts from the server if you submit a Help Desk ticket.
  10. Just remove the account under your Mail options in CPanel and leave just the forwarder.
  11. You can access SquirrelMail over port 80 by putting /sqmail after your domain name as the URL.
  12. Yes, the Semi-Dedicated is basically a large reseller account. It provides all of the features of a reseller account including the Web Host Manager (WHM.)
  13. Here's my area where I work at home: And here is my work area at school:
  14. The Virtual Hosts here are configured fine. I am not completely sure what the previous quote meant by misconfigured but would suspect it would have to do with not returning the DOCUMENT_ROOT correctly or similar problems.
  15. Charging for providing the space or pointing a different domain name at a subdomain would be examples of violations. Allowing family members to use space or allowing other people to have ftp access to maintain a certain part of the site where the subdomains are still related to the main site are fine. It is important to note, however, that ultimately the account owner is responsible for all content on the site and insuring that all persons with access abide by the AUP. If you give someone access and they do something in violation the whole site can be suspended.
  16. Please open a Help Desk ticket using the link at the top of this page and include your phone number, zip code, and last four digits of the credit card used as a security measure and we can reset the password. Just put 'unknown' for any information you do not know in the required fields on the form.
  17. I use CoreFTP from coreftp.com and never have any problems with it.
  18. Only SquirrelMail is set up on the servers for access through port 80. You could set up a webmail application in your site to use port 80.
  19. The process we use to reset a password is for the protection of the site owner. It prevents someone from pretending to own the site putting in a ticket and having the password changed or from using IM to have the password reset.
  20. The AUP is the Acceptable Use Policy and is found here.
  21. The index.htm file you have in the videodvd folder now is loading fine for me. There is no error. The previous index.htm file was looking for a file called home.htm to load in a frame. As a result, it was returning a 404 error as the file does not exist.
  22. The problem is with your code in the index.htm file. It is trying to load a file called home.htm in a frame and the file does not exist. It is possible that some of the files needed did not get uploaded to the website.
  23. If you are seeing a Coming Soon page then your domain nameservers are set to the parked nameservers. You will need to log into the domain management and change them to the nameservers listed in your Welcome E-mail. If the domain is locked you will need to unlock it before making the changes.
  24. You would need to contact technical support at the domain registration/transfer page to determine the reason for the problem. You may also want to contact the current registrar to be sure a transfer is possible.
  25. Yes, you can buy the hosting at any time. Once the domain has transferred you would need to change the nameservers to the ones provided in your Welcome Email once the hosting account is set up.
