Alternatively you could create a subdomain called blog and get mt to publish into that (unless that's what lisa said) this would be much easier than redirecting it etc. If u created blog as a subdomain then in ure mt setting just change the paths such that the siteurl would be blog.domain.co.uk and site path would be /home/user/public_html/blog its as simple as that

so your cgipath should rea /home/username/public_html/mt ! and if that is where your files are you don't need to have a staticwebpath ! You can have docs, images and styles.css in that folder (only if you have it installed public_html not if u have it installed inside the cgi bin !) Good Luck !

First off you'll need to create a mysql database. You can do this via the cpanel under mysql settings. Specify a database name eg quiz and a username/password. You'll need to assign that user to the database and enter your settings into the config.php file. Whilst entering it into the config file database name is cpanelusername_databasename and username is cpanelusername_username After that you'll need to enter phpmyadmin (via the cpanel again) Once insider on the left select the quiz table you've just created from the drop down list. The frame on the right should load. If you scroll right down the page you should see a "Create new table on database " bit with a textbox and fields. Enter a table name i'm not sure what you do with the fields bit as that page does not specify how many fields the table should have. At last specify the table name in config.php ! Good Luck

It was discussed in the other thread that gzipping causes high load of shared servers if the content of your files are large. Correct me if I"m wrong and that is why one of the staff said that mod_gzip wasn't installed. He also said that if your site isn't large volume and isn't slashdot it should be ok ! I've been running gzip since the start of the other thread and its excellent for me 74% savings

Not sure if you defined the subdomain, if you didn't... You define a subdomain via Cpanel under the domains header and then manager subdomains. U specify the name of the subdomain you want and after the dns kicks in your all set

You could setup a rule using the rules wizard. Tools > Rules Wizard. Click New and then follow the steps to create a rule using those address that u want to filter into your inbox ! I used to use the rules wizard (when I used to use Outlook) for all sorts of things it very useful !

It should be ok if you put it anywhere just make sure its on its own line but I think anywhere in the .htaccess is ok !
