  1. We allow legal, adult content. MP3s are acceptible if you own the rights to the file. We do not allow copyrighted files to be hosted.
  2. The _private folder is used by Front Page and is not directly accessible. If you are not using Front Page you can log into your CPanel and uninstall the Front Page extensions. You can create a password protected folder in your CPanel under the Web Protect option.
  3. You need to contact the domain registrar. The nameservers are not set correctly for the domain.
  4. This should be corrected now per you Help Desk ticket.
  5. The MySQL server is on the same machine. All disk space and bandwidth used by your account is included in your package quotas including MySQL, FTP, email, etc.
  6. I've owned three Toshibas and all worked well. Once I had the itch for a new one I passed them down to my daughter and she used them for a while longer with no problems. I also had a Compaq that worked OK but the power connector came unsoldered after the warranty was up. I was able to get it resoldered and it worked fine. I now have an HP ad7000 that I love. I've had it a year and a half or so and never have had a problem with it running XP or Linux. Our school has a contract with Dell and I will get a laptop for use there either in the Fall or when we move into our new school in January. I'm hoping they are reliable since I am the tech contact at school and will have to contact Dell if there are any problems.
  7. All of the accounts provide much more bandwidth than you used last month. The Starter plan would work depending on the size of the files in your site.
  8. In answer to the problem with the forwarding from the registrar, to use the forwarding feature you would need to use the nameservers for the registrar rather than the ns1.totalchoicehosting.com and ns2.totalchoicehosting.com nameservers.
  9. OK, allow me to try again. I suspect that when you tested you entered www.busyneedlework.com and that domain stayed in the address bar as I had only set up the redirect for busyneedlework.com (without the www in front.) I edited the .htaccess file again and added redirects for either with or without the www in front. This should work as you describe your goals.
  10. As Don mentioned (and as I mentioned on the Help Desk) you can have the domain forwarded from the registrar. The other option is to use mod_rewrite to redirect any calls to the new domain to point to the main domain. I did promise to check the forums and help from here so I have added the lines of code to the end of the .htaccess file in your public_html folder that is working fine for me. Please check it now and see if it is working as you want. [it appears you have removed the rewrite commands so that it is working strictly as a parked domain now so the new domain remains in the address bar.]
  11. It is not possible to have an additional cPanel log in on the account. The user should be able change file permissions using an FTP program. I logged into an FTP account on one of my domains and was able to right click on the file and change permissions (using CoreFTP.)
  12. After writing up how to import the Addressbook from Neomail to Horde last night I got to thinking about whether it was possible with SquirrelMail since SquirrelMail does not have an import option enabled. It is possible and fairly easy to do. Neomail only has two fields in the addressbook, the nickname and the email address. SquirrelMail has five fields and the order is Nickname, First Name, Last Name, email address, and Other Info. Here are the steps to copy your addresses over: 1. Download the Neomail address book by using an FTP program and going to .neomail-emailuser/cpanelusername. The file is called addressbook. 2. Edit the file in a text editor. Change the colon to three bars, i.e. find : and replace with |||. 3. Save the file to a folder called .sqmaildata in your root folder to a file in the form of emailuser@yourTCHdomain.com.abook. (You can overwrite the file that is there if you have not stored addresses in SquirrelMail since it will create an empty file by default.) That's it. You should have your addresses in SquirelMail now. Please note that this only works in the SquirrelMail that is accesses by using /webmail after the domain name or accessed through your CPanel. If you need the addressbook in the installation accessed by adding /sqmail at the end of your domain you would need to log in using /webmail, perform the steps above, and then open a Help Desk ticket and have us copy the file to the proper folder on the server.
  13. If you had entries in your Addressbook in NeoMail it is a pretty easy process to import them into Horde. 1. Log into the account using an FTP program and download the addressbook from the .neomail-emailuser/cpanelusername folder that is in your root folder and save them to your computer. 2. Go to Horde and click on Organizing then Address Book. 3. Click on the Import/Export icon at the top. 4. Using the comma delimited format browse for the file on your computer and follow the steps and it should work fine.
  14. The nameservers are set incorrectly with the registrar of the domain. In looking at the Whois record the domain is locked and transfer is prohibited. You will need to contact the registrar you have been using to determine the problem. It is possible that the domain had expired. You cannot transfer a domain if it is expired and would have to renew it with the registrar and change the nameservers to ns1.totalchoicehosting.com and ns2.totalchoicehosting.com.
  15. They should be listed in your CPanel under the Manage/Add Account link. If they are not please open a Help Desk ticket using the link at the top of this page and we can have a look and see if there is a problem with your account. Also include as many details as possible such as the accounts you set up and the forwarders you set up.
  16. Please submit a Help Desk ticket using the link at the top of this page and the problem will be corrected.
  17. You should check your email client and be sure that "My Server Requires Authentication" is checked (this is the phrase that is used in Outlook/Outlook Express.) If the problem persists you should submit a Help Desk ticket and include the username/password for the email account so that we can test.
  18. Basically anywhere you have put the IP address will need to be replaced with the domain. This includes the mt.cfg file (the CGI Path) and the Mt configuration.
  19. There are a couple of problems with that setup. Site URL: http: //67.15.16.5/ should be Site URL: http: //67.15.16.5/~<cpanelusername> Archive URL: http://67.15.16.5/archives/ should be Archive URL: http://67.15.16.5/~<cpanelusername>/archives/ You will also need to go back in and change these after the domain has propagated to use the domain rather than the IP address.
  20. You should have no trouble. I don't use FP but I keep a copy installed to test FP problems on the Help Desk. I generally connect using the Open Web option under the File menu and load a page, edit it slightly, and resave it to test. It works fine. Propagation will take 24-72 hours normally once the changes are made at NetSol.
  21. Front Page in general will not work with a shared IP due to the way it writes to certain folders and files. I have seen it fail to publish correctly before the domain has propagated resulting in folders needed by the system being deleted by FP. We then have to reprovision the account. Switching between publishing using http and ftp usually causes the extensions to become corrupted. I would suggest importing the site into Front Page from the current host so that it works correctly on your local computer and then publish the site when the DNS changes have been made and the domain has propagated. You can't connect using http and the IP address. Hot editting is possible after the domain propagates. In fact, that is necessary to get forms to work correctly in most cases.
  22. Yes, they should be set to dns3.totalchoicehosting.com and dns4.totalchoicehosting.com. You are on Server 106 which uses those nameservers.
  23. It would be best to wait until the domain has propagated to set up the forum. Propagation normally takes a few hours after making a change to the DNS. You can try going to the Run command if you are running Windows XP and typing in ipconfig /flushdns to clear your computer DNS cache.
  24. There is an option in your domain management to unlock the domain.
  25. Your nameservers need to be changed to dns3.totalchoicehosting.com and dns4.totalchoicehosting.com. This can be done at the domain management link on our Domain registration page.
