There are some websites that will allow you to run the dig command. Here is an example: http://www.kloth.net/services/dig.php Just enter the domain you want info on and click Look up to use the default server or use ns1.totalchoicehosting.com to see the information on our nameserver.

I did not see a Help Desk ticket. I did look in the database and found that the email address entered was duncaandarkcerst@hotmail.com. I have corrected it and resent the Welcome Email. This would have been handled much quicker had a Help Desk ticket been sent. As HG mentioned, if you don't have a username or password just enter unknown and continue from there.

You would need to make the changes in MT to write the index.shtml file to blog.zoblue.com in the Configuration section for that blog.

Yes, your domain will be added to our nameservers and there is no additional charge for the service.
-
It might help insure that there is no confusion if you explain exactly what you are referring to when you say DNS. I am not familiar with hosts charging extra for setting up a DNS Zone so that your site will resolve correctly. If you are talking about having nameservers with your domain name, i.e. ns1.****** then that is available on reseller accounts only.

If you set the nameservers at the registrar of the domain to our nameservers the DNS Zone will be controlled here. That is the easiest solution.

It's pretty common. Generally is due to a firewall at work blocking port 2082 and/or 2083. There is nothing that can be done except ask the IT folks at work to open the port. Same thing is true for Webmail if they block 2095 and/or 2096.

Add On Domains...how Does It Work...i Think
TCH-Rick replied to juma's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Yes, you can. It's called parking the additional domain(s) and we can do it from the Help Desk. -
You can have a domain parked on your account but it will have to go through the Help Desk. Click on the link at the top of this page and give us the domain name you wish to have parked and we will take care of it.
-
JUst reply to the ticket and it will reopen. We close tickets so that we can easily see them when they are reopened.
-
We have a new order/billing system so the best option is to order the plan as a new customer to get your information in that database. Additional plans or upgrades in the future can be ordered via that system.
-
You will also need to open a Help Desk ticket by clicking on the link at the top of this page and request that the domain either replace the old domain or park it so that both domains will work with your account.

Submit a Help Desk ticket and let us know what file you need and we can see if we can get it for you.

Backups (restore) Via Whm Causing 403 Error?
TCH-Rick replied to snipe's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
If you SSH into your server and run /scripts/enablefileprotect it should correct them all. I was thinking this little bug had been corrected but it was common for a while. IM me if you need any help. -
Try logging in using username@domain.com as the username instead of username+domain.com and it should work fine.

I answered your Help Desk ticket within minutes of it being submitted. I logged into the server, loads were under 1. I viewed your site and it loaded quickly. I looked for previous tickets to see if there was a previous problem and found nothing. I did nothing else to correct the problem. You can think whatever you wish but anyone who reads these forums will realise that when something is wrong we don't hide the fact. If a site is slow for a week we need to know about it and the Help Desk is the best place. I always go back and look for previous tickets. When a pattern develops we can usually track down the error. After I closed your ticket I left the server monitoring up and continues to watch off and on. The load jumped some so I looked at some logs and saw one site that looked like it may be causing some slowdown, certainly nothing like the ones I just saw on 29. I suspended the site and the loads dropped back below 1 and all sites I have looked at on 50 are very fast. Routing problems from the ISP are common and the most usual problem we see with sites seeming slow. As for the ticket being closed, uh. We close all tickets when we respond so that when they are reopened we can see it quickly and they don't get lost on the Help Desk.
-
If you want both domains to point to the same site we can park it. If you want it to be a separate site you would need an additional account. To have the domain parked please open a ticket at the Help Desk by clicking on the link at the top of this page and we will take care of it.

You can use either /usr/bin/ or /usr/local/bin/. There is detailed information on the perl mods installed and locations of common programs on the left side when you log into your CPanel.
-
The Standard and Deluxe plans allow two IP addresses for use as nameservers. As for increasing disk space, it is most cost effective to upgrade your plan which is easy to do.
-
I have dealt with a couple of registrars and they were much easier to deal with than the situation you have described. Most registrars have a policy of no transfers within 60 days of renewal but most that I have seen allow transfers up to a couple of weeks before expiration.
-
Submit a ticket and we can park the domain. Please mentione that the domain you are parking was the original domain for the account as there are separate steps that must be taken to park the domain.
-
Yes, if you set the Raw Log Manager to save logs and not delete them at the end of the month they will be available.
-
You can run all your weblogs from one installation. I have four set up on a site. I set up my MT in ****/mt so that everyone accesses it at ****/mt/mt.cgi (for the MT control.) You can set up the individual weblogs in MT to control which subdirectory to upload the html files. It is much more efficient to install MT once rather than in each subdomain.

I Have Some Problem With The Email
TCH-Rick replied to James281's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by not having the domain here. Do you have a hosting account with us and just mean that the domain is not registered with us or do you mean that you do not have either an account or domain registration with us? In the first case, if you have an account with us with the domain registered elsewhere you should be able to change the nameservers with the domain registrar to point to the account here. If you do not have a hosting account with us we really cannot provide support for the problem as it would depend on how the other host is set up with their email server. -
We can provide more specific answers if we have the domain name so that we can look up information about it.
