  1. Welcome to the forum, psp602. And thanks for pointing the script
  2. Welcome to the family, ronnie!
  3. Welcome back, Mitch!
  4. It did that automatically for me... Pretty cool, IMO.
  5. Welcome aboard, Rich!
  6. Mike, note that if you're going to install SP2, you don't need to install SP1, because SP2 already contains everything in SP1.
  7. Weclome to the forums, meeciteewurkor Like Serpentine, I've been with TCH for over 2 years (have a personal account and a reseller account). I don't think the tech support, prices, reliability and friedly family here on the forums can be beaten. But here's a suggestion: sign up for an account, give it a try. That way you can see for yourself if TCH is what you want. If you're not satisfied, just request your account to be terminated before 30 days have passed and you will be refunded.
  8. It's a joke the PHP folks played on everyone. Go to their site
  9. Welcome to the forums, Drub! As for your problem, try backing up your profile directory and then delete it (the original one, not the backup ). Then run Mozilla again and it will create a new profile for you. Try cPanel again and see if it works
  10. I can't recall for sure but I think it will not touch the files you already have there, although you'll probably have to reinstall all your programs anyway, because most of them will need certain files placed inside c:\windows\system32 and stuff like that. But even so, I'd recommmend you boot from a CD/disk and copy the important documents somewhere, just in case something goes wrong.
  11. As section31 pointed previously, (I think) that statement from the AUP prevents you from using any type of IRC scripts, not just eggdrops or other type of IRC robots. But I'll check that for you and let you know.
  12. Hi msb. Sorry, I don't use entropy and so I don't know how to do that but hang in there and I'm sure somone will know how to do it and will post the answer here
  13. I recommend MySQL Administrator. It's free, works on multiple operating systems and is made by the same folks that make MySQL. I haven't had the chance to work a lot with it but it seems to be pretty good. I don't think it's as feature packed as phpMyAdmin but for regular database administration it works just fine and it's faster than loading a webpage for each action you do.

    Mysql

There's no GUI addon to MySQL because MySQL is just the database engine. What you want is a GUI client for MySQL and there are quite a few of those available. I recommend MySQL administrator, it's pretty good, works on various operating systems and is made by the same folks who make MySQL itself
  15. Thanks for the info, David. I was too tired to check it out, last night
  16. David, there's also another one called "Flash Click to View", which is what I have installed. I'd guess they do exactly the same thing but Flashblock seems to be more popular (many more downloads and updated more recently). Give them a try and see which one is best for you
  17. I agree with Mike Jones and would suggest Fetchmail, too.
  18. Guys, before installing anything else or having the trouble to modify the hosts file, I'd suggest you try installing the "flash click to view" plugin. Besides preventing those nasty pop-ups, it also prevents Flash movies from starting automatically. You only load the ones you want by clicking on them. I never had any problems with pop-ups and I don't use any of that anti-spyware stuff. Eell, I use Linux, so the anti-spyware stuff doesn't really apply to me but I also didn't modify my hosts file and I have no problems at all. Edit: I'm not saying Bruce's suggestion is bad, on the other hand, for Windows users, having some anti-spyware software is always a good idea and modifying the hosts file is not bad at all, either, if you want to make sure some sites are really impossible to access from your computer. I'm just suggesting that if you simply want to get rid of pop-ups, try a simpler approach first, so you can eliminate the possible sources of the problem one by one.
  19. Slatck, but why do you need to set it to infinite? Won't an expire date in, say, 100 years do?
  20. You have hit the nail right on the head, David. I have always used the "Flash click to view" plugin (highly recommended, pages load faster, no bandwidth wasted on unwanted flash movies... ) and those of use who also don't see the pop-up/under windows have some similar plugin installed. Or even that preference already set, who knows. One thing I was certain of: it had to be something done by the users, not a problem with Firefox because it doesn't have a will of it's own to pick who it will bother with pop-ups
  21. Search for ChilliASP. It's what it used to be called before Sun bought it.
  22. Well, the last one I finished was a Spirou comics book (not sure if American folks know it, they're french comic books and were very famous in Europe during the 60-70's). Before that, I finished Stephen Hawking's "A Brief History of Time" and "The Universe in a Nutshell". Before that, Walter M. Miller, Jr's "A Canticle for Leibowitz" (fabulous! read it, even if you don't like science fiction!). Before that J. R. R Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" (for the 5th or 6th time ) and "The Hobbit (for the 4th time). Apart from these, there are also the Kung Fu study books and the programming stuff
