  1. I tested a few sites, microsoft was one of them... Results: This website does not appear to have been programmed correctly This website appears to be in violation of the British Disability Discrimination Act This website uses redirections, which annoy users and reduce ratings in search engines This website is extremely well linked to This website is exceptionally popular This website is very quick to respond Im not saying it might not be a good tool, but it also tells me that programming correctly is one of the toughest things for a webdeveloper and not many can do it 100% correct, which I assume affects any disability discrimination acts and will reduce ratings. The funny thing too is that this validator tells me I have 192 errors while validator.w3.org tells me I have 64 errors. Which one should I trust?
  2. Chat are in real time, like when you speak to someone on the phone. Forum and Bulletin board are the same as far as I know. In other words, you post a message and others read/reply if/when they see it
  3. No, the old host you can skip unless its at their place you registered your domain.
  4. It means you will need to tell your domain-registrar to point your domain to ns1.totalchoicehosting.com and ns1.totalchoicehosting.com.
  5. Welcome to your extended family Adam
  6. Welcome to your extended family
  7. You can set up it via the cpanel, I believe it is a earlier version (version 1.2) than what is used in this forum and there is also an even newer version available (for purchase though) at the Invision Power Boards site (see link on bottom of this page). If you install through the cpanel, it will guide you through it, so that should not give any problems. If you decide to install version 1.3 or even decide to purchase 2.0, it will contain step by instructions on how to set up. You can always ask any questions in this forum and we will try to answer them (which should not be any problem since many of us here use IPB). There is also great documentation and I think a forum for specific IPB questions at their site. As for asking the TCH-support people. You can´t since TCH does not provide any support for any scripts, so if any problem, please ask here and someone should know the answer.
  8. Not sure if this will help but, try: http://www.almaden.ibm.com/cs/crawler/, same link as you posted, but gives some info.
  9. As for DNS... If you registered the domains through TCH, they should already be set. If you registered the domains through another registrar, you will need to tell them to set the nameservers to ns1.totalchoicehosting.com and ns2.totalchoicehosting.com or if the registrar have a control panel you should be able to set it yourself.
  10. If you want since you already paid for 2nd domain, you can ask the techs to park it on top of your wanted domain.
  11. It should not be any problem if you received the registration email for the second domain. Welcome to your extended family :-) Don´t forget to pop in to introductions for a more formal welcome.
  12. like
  13. Yes.
  14. Anything happening in your account is counted, uploads, downloads, emails...all of it. Also, moving for organization.
  15. My 2 cents...(list isn´t finished yet) The TCH Government President: Bill Vice President: Mike Dep. for finances: Michelle Dep. for IT: Mike J, Rick Dep. for Foregin affairs: Andy, Raul Dep. for human rights: Lisa Dep. for animal rights: Don Dep. for education: Jim, Bruce
  16. Nothing will happen to your remaining domain and account. You will be able to log in/out, visit it as usual etc. The only thing that might happen is that you will still see the non-registered domain still listed in cpanel, but then you will only need to submit a tech ticket and they will remove it for you.
  17. According to Brians post in this thread you can, unfortunately it poorly tells how. Also welcome to your extended family
  18. Don, Did the kittens clock change?
  19. No, what I ment was, are version 1.3 supposed to have tx at the end? If so I have the wrong version and no new available as I can see.
  20. For sending: you can either try port 25 or port 26 might work too I believe. Or I think you will have to use your isp. I have this problem myself and I have only the isp-option to use. For receiving, I simply never heard of a problem with that, so I can´t help much with that. Except that if does work sometimes and sometimes not, it sounds like more of a problem with the isp than TCH to me.
  21. Fluffy
  22. The only problem I have heard of before is is that some isp´s are closing the port (25 I believe) for sending email. If you have problems receiving (as in connecting to webmail or downloading via pop), it might be a routing issue with your isp. You can submit a ticket to the techs to have them check so everything works from TCH end. Also moving for organization.
  23. Guinea pig (Don´t ask me why I think of that when I see an apple )
  24. Hey, I forgot that (I missed checking the left column, sorry for that )... Welcome to your extended family
