TCH-Thomas replied to TCH-JimE's topic in Software/Scripts/Other Alerts
Thanks for the info, Jim. -
From their release notes: So you will need to download a british-english dictionary. I added a swedish dictionary and it works great.

Welcome to the forum, mjcace. While I can´t answer #1, here is the rest of them... 2. I would like to set up a recipe blog/site, and eventually a genealogy one as well, off of my main blog. These are subdomains, correct? I would have to install WP on each one? If you want several blogs within one account, each separate blog must be in its own subfolder to begin with. If you want to make this subfolder a subdomain is your choice. subdomain.your-tch-domain.ext and your-tch-domain.ext/subfolder are basically the same thing. One thing to keep in mind when setting up a subdomain is to create the subdomain first, since it will automatically create the folder. 3. I also wanted to put things like my blogroll, buttons (for webrings), etc...on a different page so that it didn't clutter up my site. Would this also be a subdomain? The blogroll, buttons should be easily inserted in to each blogs own sidebar etc, so no need for a subdomain/folder for that. 4. I cannot edit themes in WP, except for the current one I have that someone made for me. It says, "If this file was writable you could edit it." When I tried to follow the directions on WP to allow me to change it, I am only able to change the file permission to 666 - I can't even change a file through the WP admin panel. To edit the theme through WP´s admin interface you will need to change the permission on the file which is not recommended for saftey reasons. A better way is to download the file to your own computer, make the changes and the reupload it.

Here is another program you can download to your own computer and produce cloaked email addresses (basically the same idea as the program in Pauls post here). I haven´t tried Pauls recommended program, but this one will generate a link for you inside the program so you can verify that the link works as it should. E_Cloaker

If the domain haven´t propagated yet, I would think you need to have the path to the images in your html like this: http://IP/cpanelname/imagefoldername/example.jpg

The status images looks normal to me.

You might need to make it visible for it to show.To make it visible, right-click on a blank space just after the buttons for back, forward, up, search... then uncheck the "lock toolbar". Good. Which are the 3 that are left? It might just be random files that your computer/windows create on start up, but are deleted when shutting down. The Perflib_Perfdata file I wouldn´t worry about if your virus/spyware scans says you are safe.

Don´t know about the the other files but "Perflib_Perfdata_510.dat", is something that Norton creates I think. I have Norton too and I can´t delete the Perflib_Perfdata file, but the next time I start my computer, the Perflib_Perfdata file is gone. Try delete your temp files this way and see if it works: 1. Open My computer 2. In the address bar type %temp% 3. Highlight all files except the Perflib_Perfdata file (it will not allow to be deleted anyway). 4. Hit the "Delete" key 5. Reboot 6. Redo step 1 & 2 and see if all files are gone

All server related issues must go through the helpdesk since we mods have no access to it and the techs does not frequent the forum as much as we do.
