To change the domain assigned contact technical. =)

Just submit a ticket (link at the top of the forum) and let htem know, clearly and detailed, exactly what you want to happen. =)

This is impossible for us to judge - it's not just the number of hits but the size of your page, the number of objects loaded, etc. Your best bet, and what I would do, is start out with the starter plan and then watch bandwidth like a hawk. You can upgrade at any time (buy more bandwidth for that month or upgrade to a larger plan) and you do get a warning in email at 80% as well. Hope that helps! =)

Yes, as long as all of the domains point to the root of your webspace you are fine. =)

You have two options. I'll describe both and you can decide which one you want to go with. 1) Put everything *except* images, docs, styles.css and mt.js into the cgi-bin. Put the exceptions into mt-static and uncomment that StaticWebpath as described in your post. 2) Put everything in one folder wherever you want and leave it commented. If you go with option 2 - check out These instructions for protecting your mt.cfg. Neither one has any intrinsic advantages over the other one, as long as you make sureyou secure mt.cfg if you use option 2, they are pretty equal. =) When I ran MT I preferred option 1 as it just made more sense to me. Personal preference, really, on TCH servers. =) Hope that helps!

Make sure you have no space between the -p and password, and that you are using the correct username/databasename. Those will be cpanelname_username and cpanename_databasename. If you have still having problems you can pm me the exact line you put and I'll try to help you with it. =)

Yes, you can have download links to them. You just can't do live streaming. =)
-
Nope, that's well and proper - they are new family page additions. It's all good. =) Also moved to a more appropriate forum... *dances*

Refer is a great script written by Dean Allen, who also wrote Textpattern. It's not top referrers though, just tracks referrers. I'm not aware of a script that tracks the most common referrers although I've seen it done, you might try perusing www.hotscripts.com and see if you can find one =)

How Can I Create Cloaked Forums With Phpbb?
LisaJill replied to Beston's NHB's topic in Scripting Talk
Beston - my solution is if you have a message board where you just want to hide a few forums. If you don't want the message board visible at all you should look at the other solutions. =) Here is a tutorial about robots.txt. Hope that helps =) -
Permission in writing, especially. For any of those cases. =)

How Can I Create Cloaked Forums With Phpbb?
LisaJill replied to Beston's NHB's topic in Scripting Talk
You are going to use PHPBB? If so, login to the Administrative area and click on forum permissions. There you choose who can see it and post to it. =) In my experience the best thing to do is set up a group and after people register, assign the ones that you want to see that private forum to that group, and give that group access to the forum. That's how I've done it in the past. Let me know if that helps. =) -
I'm sure that it's fine to delete. As far as no longer supporting it, I'm not sure - it wasn't supported when I first signed up either. =) I'll see if I can find an answer for you.

We no longer offer webalizer. You can safely delete those folders if you want. =)

How To Implement Php Embedded In Html Files
LisaJill replied to Ecoli's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
That's the right way. I've heard that argument about having to parse for all scripts, and it's not going to cause you any problems on TCH servers. I serve ALL my pages in php and it's not the least bit of a problem. Maybe on a lower end/less reliable server.... But we have top servers here, so no worries. =) -
There are several advantages to a reseller account, but the main one is all about convenience. Having a reseller accouont gives you access to Web Host Manager so that you can manage all of your domains and parked domains. If you have several websites, or even just more than one, this package may mean a lot of convenience to you. But if you have only one website then yes, silver plan is a better deal. =) Many people choose to get resellers so that they can do things like part domains to subdomains, manage all their sites under one hood, and some really do resell. =) I hope that helped clarify.
-
Question 1: that is correct. Question 2: No, that is against the Acceptable Use Policy unless you own a reseller account. On the single hosting plans you can have multiple domains only if they point to the root directory (ie : www.domain.com). Hope that helps =)

A lot of what contributes to heat is what surface you have the pc on, how much space around it and what kind of cooling you've implemented. If you're worried abou theat make sure the computer is on a hard, flat surface (no carpets) and has some room around it with good circulation. =)

Added. =)

Our gift to you. *dances*

Mayhap you'd like to try gaim? gaim.sourceforge.net - it's an open source, multi client software. Updated lots. Then you can have both =)
-
Try port 26. =) Moving this for organization.
-
I'm not really sure how to fix this as I run a Mac *winks* But I'm going to move this to the software forum so that you can get better help. =)

It's file-based rather than truly db-based, so more servers will cover it. In addition to what Arvind said about it corrupting every two seconds, however, you can't do things with plugins or code that requires queries because you need mysql for that. So although it is an option, it is really not a good one. =)

This has been answered recently over here. I hope that helps to clarify how it will be handled. =)
