That is an example of a file path. There is no way that they could be the exact file path for the hundreds (thousands) of possible people trying to follow it. So, lets say you have a subdomain "adam" and you are installing dada in there. You make another directory "dada". (note, all lowercase) The path would be /home/username/public_html/adam/dada note: username should be replaced with your username. =) Then, the URL would be http://adam.domain.com/dada Does that help?

What's this /usr/ stuff? Try /home/username/public_html/adam/dada Is dada in lowercase on the server? it is CASE SENSITIVE - so only use all uppercase if that's how you created the directory. =)

After looking at the installation instructions I am going to say that you can't install this on TCH server unless you have a dedicated server and some pretty good UNIX knowledge. A few things: 1) Installation of CPAN modules - tech will do this for you, but you can't do it yourself. 2) Special user created for it - nyet. 3) Compiling the source - again, nyet. All the rest of the "command line arguments" - nope. I think that on a shared hosting server this is just not a good option. Sorry to bear bad news.

No, we don't use Fantastico. But we do have the one-click install without it so that's fine. The cpanel demo is run by cpanel so we can't control if it's up or not. =)

I forget the actual number, but you can only send some "x" number every 300 seconds or something. However, most mailing lists have the ability to regulate this automatically. So you hit "send" and teh mailing list starts sending batches in the amount you've set up. If done that way, no problem.

It may need to be done in the reverse order - I've never actually done this. Install forums then make subdomain, might work. =) or just delete the folder, and leave the subdomain....

yes, something like "forums.domain.com" would be from domain.com/forums. =) You just need to have the subdomain created and install the forum in the right directory.

No there are different "look and feels" for cpanel. Monsoon is one theme, 'x' is another. Monsoon is a list of items. 'x' is a bunch of icons lined up. It could be scripts library, I haven't been on 'x' in a long time. =)

If you're in monsoon/another listed theme it's right under "CGI Scripts" - if you're in the theme with all the icons it should be somewhere in the middle of all of them. If you don't see it (try doing a find in page for add, edit -> find in page) then submit a ticket. =)

These are just XML so I believe the instructions here will work, but I haven't tried it. =)

Those external editors I mention work with both wp and mt, they're for editing offline/easier happier stuff. =)

EXIF is digital information that is stored in digital images taken from digital cameras. It is retained in jpeg format. It includes things like aperture, shutter speed, flash and a bunch of other information. If you're not displaying it/don't care to display it then you probably don't want to read it again. =)

No idea about the templates. Wordpress you just edit the index and all the other pages derive from it - that's one of the parts that I did not like. It's all php in the templates and I found it rather confusing. =) Bruce, you could also check out one of the external post things, they sometimes have full wysiwyg ediing, pretty neat. I forget the names of them, ones like w.blogger and kunglog might be good though. =) oh and zempt.

So does ExpressionEngine. Textpattern uses Textile so doesn't have those buttons but textile makes it easy. Yadda Yadda.... *dances*

Because they are IE only javascript, not DOM compatible. I have no comment on that. There are some hacks out there for it, but I don't have the links for them. I avoid hacking cgi files because cgi scares me. =)

We offer spam assassin, so you can do all of that utilizing spam assassin. But we do not offer virus scanning on the servers. =) With spam assassin you can choose if your spam mail has the subject changed (for filtering after download), or if it goes to a spam box (where you could review it via horde webmail). It does whitelisting and scoring of emails. =)

it should be keuperv_mtadmin. Not just mt_admin and not keuperv_keuperv_mtadmin. Unless I misunderstood....
