Karen, I do not know about the rest but my site works with and without the www. I believe the CName records are set up to point so your www subdomain points to the IP address your account is hosted on. The non www domain = the IP when your account is created. You shouldnt have to use mod_rewrite.

Well, .wav is out of the question unless it is only a few seconds of sound. Wou could use .mp3 or .ram and get good compression out of a longer file. Remember, the smaller the file the less bandwidth used for each download. You either own or have permission to use the sound file correct?

2 way satelite is still wireless. Even telepathy is wireless. It isnt possible to connect a laptop to another computer without the use of wireless or wires. It's like trying to drive a car without letting the tires touch anything.

I would try it in baby steps vs. learning what everything means at once. First I would pick a web biulding program and learn to use it. I used to use FrontPage, it was easy for me to learn. Others use Cute SiteBuilder because it is easy for them. You might want to try the free trial of Cute as there is also a forum in here about it and could probably get the most help from it. I tried 5 or 6 before I found one I could understand. Now I am working in PHP and am having to do everything by hand. So, first build the site and then worry what to do with it. That will be later and we will al help as best we can.

I always go by the . KB or KiloBytes = roughly 1000 and MB or MegaBytes = roughly 1,000,000. Therefore 1000 KB = 1 MB and 1000MB = 1 GB. If you want to be exact there are 8 bits to a byte, 1024 bytes to a kilobyte. I have trusted cPanel's information as to what I have used. BTW, the top 2 lines are the same.

Magenta, Though I have decided against it, you should be able to hotlink protect against it. If you are looking at blocking all of it though, you can use .htaccess to block the entire country.
