There is no need to duplicate the post in another forum, please refrain from doing so in the future. Many times an unanswered post just means we do not have an answer as we havent done it ourselves. I should have caught this after you posted the first time and at the verry least given some response that I wasnt sure but hopefully another family member had an answer. Forgive me for that.

As one post states Although 30 may not seem like alot it all comes down to server use. If those 30 take up too many resources that it causes issues with the rest of the sites then it will be dealt with. I see many talking of getting a server designed for it, if you want a big site for use with that then maybe a dedicated server is the route to take.

I have to agree with this a bit. I have spent many years doing technical support for internet customers. ne thing I have noticed is that many just go through the motions in working to solve their issues. Walk them through the steps to fix their issues only to have them call back in a few days for the same issue, that they caused no less. You try and "teach" them the solution so they don't have to call back but in the end you know it is a moot point. Why should they listen when you are only a phone call away. There are three camps at fault here. First is MS for the code. Second is the writer of the exploit Third is the end user. HC, as word got around people would not purchase more of those cars, consumers drive the sales of the product. Get another car if this one has so many problems, no one is forced to buy the car. The issue is that this car is easier to drive than the others and I can assure you that if another operating system had the reach that MS does you would see many exploits for those as well. The virus writer/script kiddie cares not about the OS but the exposure. Why write something that effects only MAC users? Who cares if I bring down 10 machines? 10 thousand, 100 thousand? Now there's exposure.

I really doubt it is your router. You bought your domain name on the second. It can take up to 72 hours for every name server to update its records to reflect the name. This is why IP works and not name. You are accessing a different name server through your connection at home than you are elsewhere. Give it a day longer and everything should fall into place, murphys law states your connection will be the las to see your site.

Steve, You can combine them if you wish. We do not offer yearly payments with a month free on reseller accounts. It does because our AUP says so. Since I have thrown out my Microsoft product I now use gGTP for my FTP program. If it is only one file I most often use cPanel.

Nat, Most LINUX servers, those here as well, use Apache. Rest assured that your sites here should have no problem with that. Gabe, where is a good place to put that script? Header, footer, main page?

You may want to look at this thread on anonymous FTP. The short of it is that it has been disabled on virtual accounts.

Imagine someone getting a home address from WhoIS and sending a bad package to someone they didnt like with that as the return address. Sure, the post office it was sent from will help find where it came from like looking at headers but still, that is some spoofing I am glad doesnt happen. As long as there are computers connected to the web we will have this sort of thing. In all actuality we are one step behind the spammers and virus writers.

HC, That is more of a hub definition, as Madman described the router can direct traffic to a specific machine. Purple, It should look like phone line to modem in first PC, out NIC on first PC to router and then router will distribute to other computers

If I recall correctly, when you leave Go Daddy your DBP is released, you can get it here if you want as well. That said, although we wouldnt mind if you transferred over to us and got DBP here it isnt something you have to do. You can just change the name servers to point to us instead. Scott covered all of the other bases
