Yes I'd be VERY careful of the legalities, because not doing so can get you in lots of trouble. Your question is pretty wide-open, but maybe if you gave us an example of a certain thing you wanted to do then hopefully some of us would be able to help you out.

Good job leezard in getting that all explained!

Yes I'm in agreement this is a great thing indeed and shows you that we do listen to the demand of the customers and always try to give you the best we can offer!

I've been a busy Customer Support Director the last two days! Yesterday I merged the two "pre-sales" forums into one, and re-wrote, updated and cleaned up all the pinned messages there. It might not sound like much, but belive me, it took longer than I would have thought it would take! Today I've Gone through the FAQ and How To's forum on here, and cleaned, updated, and re-wrote through there as well. Hopefully now that both of these areas are all up to date and cleaned through they can be even more useful your everyday client out there. Also, just because it was bugging me, I bumped up the numbers on what it takes to be a member and advanced member. Also added a new class, yes.. the average member! That just shows you that people love the forums!

I like Invision because theirs alot more control and features with it. Don't feel limited at all, with it either. (Putting it up on my personal site right now, but that goes into my deep dark obsession with changing my layout designs so I won't begin to dig that deep into there.) I've only played with phpBB a little bit, and I wasn't too impressed with first impressions of it. Leason to be learned? Might take a look at both, and see what fits you best. Thumbs Up

Yes, if you already have a domain registered somewhere else, or if you want to register your domain name elsewhere, you CAN use it with all of our hosting plans. The first step is selecting the right hosting plan for your needs. The registar that registered your domain name will be the company that will have to repoint your DNS. You will need to visit their website and determine how that process is done. Once you sign up for hosting services you will receive a email with specific details on what DNS servers your account will be using. If you already have a domain name you must take the responcibilities of repoint the DNS yourself. If you fail to do this your site will never go live. You can also transfer your domain name to Total Choice Web Hosting, but there will be an extra fee involved.

Sites are not allowed to exceed their Bandwidth Limits. Here is what happens. When your Bandwidth data transfer hits the 80% mark, we will notify you. At that point you will need to decide if you want to pay for more bandwidth. If you pay for more then your site will go on living a happy life. If you decide to let it run out. When your site hit 100% the server will no longer accept connections to your site. Then at the start of a new month, it will reset your limits.

If your existing host uses cPanel, we can copy your existing site, username, mail, everything! Absolutely no headaches involved in moving. Also this works with any version of CPanel, so if your old host is out of date, there's no worries at all. When you sign up for your account with Total Choice Web Hosting, mention in the comments field that your site is currently hosted using cPanel and you'd like for us to move it for you. Make sure that there is listed a way for us to get in touch with you to get the information we need to initiate the site copy. If your existing site is very large, there is a chance that cPanel could time-out during the transfer. But it's always worth a shot!

Yes account upgrades and/or downgrades can happen anytime. For a more detailed look into what the exact process is that you'll need to take, please check out this page on the Total Choice Web Hosting Help Site! http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/help/billingpage.htm It's also worth making a note that: The "Head Guru" special does not apply to existing customers. The free month is only an option to new clients or new domains. Cancelling your plan and signing up again also will not entitle you to a free month.

Can I Put My Media Files Here?
TCH-Sales posted a topic in Web Hosting Pre-Sales Questions Answered!
Can you host your media files (.mp3, .mpeg, .wmv, ect) here? Yes you can but only if you are the legal owner of that material and/or have permission from the author to use said material. Any illegal files will result in TOS / AUP Violation and result in termination of account. -
How Long Does Activation Take?
TCH-Sales posted a topic in Web Hosting Pre-Sales Questions Answered!
Most plans are set up within one to six hours after the account has been paid for. If it's been longer than that, and you still haven't received a word from us, let us know!
