Rob - I think he's saying that his friend's puter was pulling the old page as well, having never visited the site before.

Why not just hit refresh? Or control+refresh if that doesn't work? You can also go into your browser settings and allocate 0kb to cache. As for your friend's puter, I don't know....I have that happen with various sites as well such as news sites. You don't have any redirects set up, do you?

While I despise Verizon and their slow DSL service, and ours has been going down rather frequently lately, it hasn't been THAT frequently. I don't have an answer for you but wanted to wish you luck figuring out the problem.

Cool - nice job. What were they using that was copyrighted?

Pointing domain names to subdomains or folders is a violation of the AUP if you have a virtual account. You can, however, do this on a reseller account.

Snipe, I wasn't so much defensive as I was mocking it. I agree there are things we can all do to conserve energy, produce less waste, etc. but this test came across as very insulting IMO, like I should feel guilty for having basic creature comforts. The problem is, it was pushy without giving me any relevant or useful information from the results. I like your new site much better.

Slightly biased? Heaven forbid I have running water. Mine is 26 because I'm a meat eater and make no apologies. While I do get local produce and beef, I'm certainly not going to feel guilty because I don't walk the 4 miles to work. Public transportation here is a joke and I don't own a motorbike. I think for me to pass this "test" I'd have to live in a campsite in the wilderness, dig my own latrines, own nothing but a mountain bike and be a vegan.

mmmm.....cider Bill, go out and buy a six-pack of Strongbow bottles. Best english cider I've ever had, and it's widely available here now. We even have an irish pub/restaurant here that has it on tap. I second the kudos to Andy. My subdomains stopped working Sunday and he had them fixed within five minutes. Took my stupid ISP longer to straighten out, but he helped me with that as well.

Not so easy when a person may have dozens of different pages with a link to the guestbook. That would be a real pain on my site.

I'll probably do the same, but I need to upgrade my WP blogs first. I've been putting it off for a long time.

When you go into Easy Admin, does the IP show on the right? Most of the time they do for me, but not always. If so you can just block the IP. I don't know of any way to block e-mail, and they can just enter something else anyway. I don't think the features in AG work all the time. I set my comments to be password protected and I still get spammed. It wasn't bad til about two or three weeks ago. Now I'm seriously contemplating taking it down. Shame - we've had some fun posts over the past year.

Are there installation/upgrade instructions somewhere? -
I echo what BillH said. Our hearts go out to England and all who suffered in this senseless tragedy.

That and the the permissioins/royalties for any copyrighted material that you offer. -
David, I knew there must be a snazzier way to go about it

As far as I know it's not illegal for someone to link to your site as long as they aren't stealing your bandwidth. But you can always change the name/extension of the page he's linking to so his won't work. Or rename your page and make the original page say something about him and what he said to you so the people from his site who see it will know what a jerk he is.

Is it just your graphics that look weird? Is everything else ok? -
Blasphemy!! Just wait, Bruce...one day you'll come home and there will be a sweet little kitten sitting on your couch purring like crazy and your heart will melt. And I'll deny having had anything to do with it.

LOL! Before I was done reading your post I knew exactly what the problem was......because I have to tweeze cat hair out of my mouse at least twice a week. Sometimes I wonder how my cats aren't bald as much fur as they lose.

I work in the corporate offices of a large insurance company. I have two roles right now. I audit the database that contains all our agents' information and I create sites for and update our intranet. As for education, I have a BA in French. Go figure.

Server Settings Causing Cms Wysiwig Not To Work?

Is this why I get slashes in my WP blog when I have apostrophes in link descriptions and such? If I update any part of the link text, I then have to go back in and delete the slashes (for example, Mom's Blog ends up as Mom///'s Blog. -
Take a picture with your webcam, look at the size of the file it created, then multiply that by how many times an hour/day you'd be uploading the picture and that should give you a good estimate.

Don, you are a sick, sick man. 90s here for the next several days and I hate it! I only go outside if I absolutely have to. We turn on our a/c when it starts getting over 80 during the day and always have at least 2 ceiling fans and 2 other fans going. The only plus to this nasty weather is that my eight tomato plants are doing very well, but our lack of rain means I have to get out every other night at least to water.

I second this. I'm very confused about this as well even after doing some research. Lately I've had alot more spam getting through even with a setting of around 4.3. Looking at the titles I don't know why SA wouldn't have flagged them as spam but they were only being scored around 1.5.
