If you create an account called bob, for example, make sure that you use bob@domain.com as the username and not just bob. If that does not fix the problem submit a Help Desk ticket and we can look into in more.

If you park a second domain on your first you would use the CPanel for your primary domain to set up email accounts using the second domain. You cannot point the second domain at a subdomain.

Do I Need To Review My Domain Name?
TCH-Rick replied to Shimmery Crystal's topic in Security Discussions
I just got the same message on one of my domain names and clicked on the link to review the record. I did notice that although the link took me to view the information the password for the account was still needed to actually change it. -

The message is legit. I have editted out the links as it would give anyone reading this post access to change your information. -
There is no way of knowing when it will be fixed. For now, the best option is to use an FTP program. He have links to several good free ones on our Help Page. [update] I just found a post on the CPanel Forum and the problem has been found. There is a space missing in an html file. Shouldn't be much longer before it is corrected by CPanel. I just ran a test and fixed it on one server. I'll fix it on others as I can get to it.

A Few Questions Before I Join In This Family !
TCH-Rick replied to coolcat's topic in Pre-Sales Questions
OSCommerce is available as a shopping cart on our servers. It is easily installed through the CPanel in the Add-on scripts. We do backups every night. There is a thread in the forums on a script called dbsender that is useful to make a regular backup of your SQL database and send it to you via e-mail. The best option in signing up is to use a domain name you would possibly be using. If you were to decide on a different domain you can submit a Help Desk request and get it changed. Until the domain propagates you can access your site using an IP address that you will be given in your Welcome E-Mail. -
There is a bug in File Manger that is preventing permissions from being changed. You should be able to use an FTP program, however. If this is not working submit a ticket and we can test and see if something is wrong.

Cpanel is working on the server. I would suspect a firewall blocking port 2082.

Bandwidth is reset at the end of the month.
-
Yep. It is showing up in all the whois databases now. The .org names do tend to take longer to get that first step done. Once it has propagated to the databases it can propagate pretty quickly to the different nameservers around the net. Murphy's Law of Propagation still applies: "You will be the last to see your domain."
-
Nick answered your Help Desk ticket and I looked at it as well. One thing I have noticed is that .org names sometimes take longer to propagate to the different whois databases. I found that many still do not have the domain listed. If it is not working in the morning I would contact the registrar and be sure that things are working correctly on their end. I have looked at the set up on our server and all looks in order.

Test it now and see if it is working. We have made some adjustments to the server.

We do have a similar limit set on running scripts. The problem is that MT is not real efficient once the database gets large and has to do a lot of rebuilding of pages. It uses a lot of cpu cycles and will run up server loads. In a shared hosting environment this causes problems for all the accounts on the server so limits are placed.

I love the Olympus cameras. I had an inexpensive one once that worked well. I currently have a C-3000 and have been very happy with it. Check out the Photo Gallery Thread and look for my pictures for examples. Keep in mind they are resized.

Subdomains are included on all accounts. Add-on domains are only available on reseller accounts.

You can log into your Cpanel and add their IP address in the IP Deny section. That should do it. I will PM you the IP address that was accessing the site.
-
In the example you gave the local path would be /home/username/public_html/blogname/MT for the installation. If you want the pages in public_html/blogname leave off the MT at the end.

Our policy on SSH is found in our Help Pages. This is taken from there: Perl or PHP modules are considered on a case by case basis. You can send me a Private Message with particular modules and I can let you know if I see any problems. Many can be installed within your site as long as you include a path to them in your code.

There was a problem with your DNS Zone and I have corrected it. The site is resolving correctly now.
-
Make sure that you are using username@domain.com as the format for the addresses you are setting up and not just username. That is the most common problem. Mail will not arrive at the account until the domain name has propagated and mail addresses sometimes propagate slower than the website address.
-
Make sure that you have set up the database in Manage MySQL in your CPanel and added users there. In looking at the database on the server it is empty. IM me and I can get more information.

The .htaccess file cannot override some settings. If it could we'd have a mess. We are operating on shared hosting which means that no one user can, or should, be allowed to set up as if he or she is the only account on the server. The default for upload_size in php.ini is 2 megs. I have moved it up to 8 on your server and that is as high as we can move it. As for the problems with Gallery, go to the Gallery forums and you will see that it does not like changes in php. If php changes it breaks. I changed the permissions on your Albums folder and it is working fine now as far as I can see.

Actually it is an X version of BlueLagoon. It maintains some of the organization of BlueLagoon but with an "X-like" skin. If anyone is getting missing graphics at the top let us know and include what server you are on.

I have just added the Welcome to Server40 message on your CPanel. When you log into CPanel you should see it now. (I also added Welcome messages to the CPanel in servers 38 and 39.)

All servers have been changed. AWStats should be the only stats program listed in CPanel now.
