yeah.. since that script your running isnt a shell script.. you need to run it correctly you should be typing in "perl conf.pl" it is a perl script afterall
-
I think what he ment, was he thought it was going to be updated on the manual way of editing the config file's, instead of using ssh.. I dont think loading that .pl script in a browser will let you configure it.. that perl script is designed to run from a command prompt.. (correct me if im wrong please)

Should be no problems.. All you have to do is get the registar (domain registration co) to point your domain to the new NS's.. "If I open an account here at TCH and just update the DNS info for my domain at company Y to use TCH's DNS server, will that be the end of it?" Yes. that would be the end of it

if you want to use usb http://www.compusa.com/products/product_in...5608&pfp=SEARCH (or go to www.compusa.com and search for "direct connect") they also have a parallel port model thats alot cheaper. (20 bucks compared to the 49.99 for the usb one) http://www.compusa.com/products/product_in...0033&pfp=SEARCH if you plan on doing this alot, and or xferring big files, your better off putting a nic into the desktop (5-15 dollars) and getting a pcmcia notebook card (29.99 for a linksys usually) and network them both
